Ohh the little Stalinist will be upset now ! What would you say if I told you Rush USED to be a Right-Winger, but has grown Old and Soft ?
Now, what would you say if I told you as a Trucker, I routinely use my PV's outside on properties that post 'No Smoking' and 'tobacco-Free Facility' ? Finally, why should either point of view matter ? It IS YOUR LIFE, Isn't it ?

Read the signature beneath the HHV Banner. That's the best way I can say it.....

Well this should be all the proof we need if even some one with an IQ of 72 can see that E-cigs are beneficial!

I hate it when people act like they are so much smarter than everyone else.A college education alone doesnt make you smart.Scientist's are just now starting to realize that there are all kinds of intelligence.

Sadly theres isnt yet a qualification for common sense, which seems to be lacking more and more nowadays.

I've always said that the 1st Ammendment, the Freedom of Speech, gives us the right to make as big an a$s of yourself in public without fear of legal prosecution. Please. by all means, continue to exercise your liberties as you see fit !

(P.S. I personally find it appropriate you have a sheep for an avatar...)

Agree or not with the man's politics (me personally he's right on point ) give him credit for being on the right side of freedom . And if you think he's stupid , look in the mirror , what have you accomplished ? How many millions of people daily listen to you ? He can reach and inform so many people about vaping .

" Holy crap, he said something that isn't completely backwards and ignorant."

I like the way people make statements that reflect themselves !

Say what you will about Rush, he has been a consistent defender of personal freedoms and individual rights. Sure, he is at times a shill for the Republican establishment, which I have absolutely no use for and for that he loses some points in my book. That said, he is a bold warrior who cannot be intimidated and therefore a valuable ally in this matter for us all. The anecdote of his is priceless, let me share mine.

I actually had someone accost me on the outside patio at a steakhouse bar about it telling me they could not breathe with me vaping 15 feet away and downwind of them. I responded with a pause and a direct stare and said, "I appreciate you approaching me directly with your concern. There is nothing toxic in this vapor, and it is blowing in the opposite direction of where you stand. I therefore will not stop since the law and common sense are on my side in this matter." So moments later a couple standing within earshot and apparently emboldened by this exchange, pull out their PV's and start vaping too. We had a splendid conversation for the next 15 minutes and spoke to a couple of smokers who were banned to the parking lot come over and ask questions. I wonder how many closet vapers are out there and we never meet each other? What a shame.

Assert yourselves people. Do it respectfully and always be a good representative of our community, but do it firmly and leave no room for negotiation when you do so.

PG is the main stabilizing agent in asthma inhalers. That's a great line for the woman 15 ft away all choked up over the "vapor" your exhaling.

"First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out--
Because I was not a Socialist.

Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out--
Because I was not a Trade Unionist.

Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out--
Because I was not a Jew.

Then they came for me--and there was no one left to speak for me. " Martin Niemöller (1892-1984)

While I don't support the Socialist or the Trade Unions the principle behind this quote is still a great truth. If you want to preserve your personal freedoms you have to be willing to support all freedoms. We have allowed our personal freedoms to be chipped away bit by bit and it is time to stand firm before the freedom to vape is taken from us as well.

This is old news. Rush was talking up e-cigs over a year ago. So I guess he still uses them.

Maybe you didn't read the article...the subject of this thread was a transcript from a show yesterday...fail to see how that is old news. The commercials he refers to are not very old either...just a couple months at most...again not really old news.

He's more than political, he's offensive to people from both sides. It'd be great for our movement if he was puffing on an e-cig while he's yelling at a black caller to "take the bone out of her nose." Or when he resigns from being an ESPN commentator because he said "The NFL all too often looks like a game between the Bloods and the Crips without any weapons." Or maybe he could talk about how great e-cigs are right after saying Michael J. Fox is “faking” his Parkinson's.

We're better off without his help.

What's next, Alex Jones supporting e-cigs? I'd rather see the grassroots movement continue than have Rush be an advocate. It's better to hear about e-cigs from friends and family than the king of bad press.

Grassroot movements are a great way to spread the word...when will you be holding your event?

This is what is needed, public vaping gatherings held in the public eye, not in a backroom in a restaurant. When I get coffee I could sit inside and vape...owner of the shop is cool with it but I come in to contact with more folks outside and it is amazing how many people walking by will stop for a minute and ask about it. This is why I love using a big mod outside...too many folks would see a cig-a-like and assume it was just a cigarette. But if I am using my Bombshell Stinger and dripping with a bottle of juice on the table people get curious. Or one of my Sabers with a light up LED tank on it.

There are times I try to be low key but outside I want to be the proverbial 900 pound gorilla you can't ignore. I normally have the cards explain vaping with me and I pass those out if possible. Point is we need to be active in protecting our freedoms.

To paraphrase the Borg "Passive resistance is futile".

I've helped a lot of people at my union hall make the switch. And just like you, almost every conversation started with them seeing me using mine and asking questions. I have a page saved on my phone with all kinds of info that I text to someone interested. They can read it in their spare time instead of having an hour long conversation with me.

When they were banning cigs in public places, sure I was upset. I didn't do anything to even voice my concerns because I knew, not so deep down in my gut, they were bad for me and the people around me. Vaping on the other hand, I will defend for as long as I can. I will try to be respectful but firm in my defense of ecigs.

Just look at how many new people get on this forum alone each day! It is a rapidly growing movement. The more people that are exposed to this alternative to smoking, the more successful we become as a voice. If we use that voice. We need as many voices as we can get regardless of political or religious beliefs.

So what? The only people who are aware of that are his core fan base and core enemies. Most people don't care about Rush Limbaugh or Rush Limbaugh critics. They just know he's some fat conservative guy and don't pay attention. When somebody talks the guy up or talks the guy down, they go into sleep mode.

I almost didn't finish reading your post because it was an opinion about Rush Limbaugh.

Edd, I suspect the people who detest Rush the most haven't listened to him very much. He's no dummy.
