I wouldn't buy a Tobaco unless I was going to use the Kayfun conversion kit on it, and it won't work unless you have the parts to run it in long mode. The one on Fasttech seems only have one tank section.

Noob question: whats the difference (in design and mechanism) between a Kayfun and and Oddy?

I thought the ceramic was desirable?

The ceramic has little to do with the vape experience. It acts as a thermal and electrical insulator for the coil and leads. The Kayfun design does away with the need for NR-R-NR joining. It also has a tiny fire chamber with the air supply directly under the coil. The result effect is condensed flavor and a much easier setup. Setting up the coil is identical to that of an RDA.

It is interesting that the Oddy and Kayfun look to me to be just different paths from the original iAtty design. I have read that people say the flavor of a Kayfun style device is superior (like the iAtty) to that of the Oddy style. I will find out for myself shortly. In the end, it is the taste that matters to me.

If I can have a device whose flavor rivals my genies and has the portability of the Oddy, then I will be a very happy vaper.

Interesting. I wouldve imagined that the ceramic cup would hold and concentrate the heat better.

Also, is the air supply in an Oddy from below as well?

A day of oddy fun... Nextel, awg32 kanthal, 1.4ohms, 80/20 vg/pg ripple in still water's pink lemonade...

HOLY COW. I'm one to nit pick any major flaw, but I can't complain. The only ill effect seems to be the most massive nic delivery I've ever experienced.

I typically vape 12 or 18mg. This juice is 9mg and in this atty it keeps knocking my socks off. I'm actually puting the pv down and waiting for the nic induced lemon brain infusion to clear.

Lots of flavor.

The ceramic cup has a lot of empty space under the wick as the air hole is located appx. 1cm from the coil. The Kayfun has no cup under the coil so the amount of empty space inside the chamber is half that of the oddy. The air hole is only about 1-2mm under the coil. This is why the flavor and vapor is more concentrated.

Unless you can get all the wraps over the air hole on the Kayfun ,which is possible, the wraps that are not "in the air stream" spit little balls of juice up the chimney. This very well could be where all the flavor is coming from.
I realize this isn't what folks what to hear but it is what it is.

I got the burrs off the treads on the conversion kit and got it set up. It vapes like a fraight train. The juice flow only has to be open a little bit. Tried it open quite a bit and flooded it. The sleeve to use your own drip tip works great. I love the fact that i can use my own drip tip. I only used the o-ring that comes with the terminator and it seals it off just fine. Didnt use the carto condom like the guy did in the video.

Interesting. I have been working on the theory that more vapor equals more flavor. Ergo the genies going through a lot of juice. But juice spit balls... hmm...

And Caveman, how did you remove the burls? I hope mine doesn't come like that.

If there is no air flow over the coil there is very little vapor, my post earlier only concerns the wraps of the coil that are one either side of the air hole. Try this with whatever atomizer, get it into position for a dry burn and fire and observe the vapor. Then do the same thing again only this time blow on the coil and observe the vapor. Any difference?
I'm not in any way attempting to bad mouth the Kayfun(s), merely suggesting that the all the wraps of the coil work best if over the air hole.

Oh yes, I almost forgot, you can have extremely big vapor with poor flavor strength or backwards to that
