Wow Steve, your enabler lessons are really paying off.
Anybody know what else 18650s might be good for?
I've got 4 myself, time to buy a flashlight?
Steve, How's the 510 adapter looking?

Here is a little thought that you might be able to incorporate into the V2.
You could just add a small bypass (on/off) spst slide switch to be able to bypass the 1/2 ohm resistor. This will give those who want, an easy option to switch back and forth from 5 to 6 volts, and therefore no need for a pot-potentiometer, unless someone really wants variable voltage.
And we need adaptors as well for the PT's? All different ones for my 901,401 and 510 correct? Or do you buy like a 901 PT along with the additional adaptors you'd like? ( gawd, I need rehab lol)
Juuust so I have this right> Since I only ordered the prodigy housing ( already having the batts and charger)... I am now needing to order> 3.0/750mAh RCR123a Batteries (2?) WITH an RCR123a Specific Charger ( please make this very specific on your site for the technically challenged lol, leave bread crumbs leading the way or something lol)
I have a 901 prodigy...So I would need to buy 510 and 401 adaptors for the prodigy ( the 510/410 don't work off of the same adaptor, correct?)...If anything does not sound correct..please let me know..

Now this is really cool - getting in on all the R&D of a next generation product without having to do any of the work! It's like having a team of bright young people coming up with great ideas and executing them, while my soldering iron sits nice and cool in its case, waiting for the next tube amp project.
My kinda work these days - chugging ale, vapin' away and watching the fun!
Keep up the good work, Steve. I'm looking forward to the Prodigy, whatever it turns out to be...
OK, so I just emailed Casey because I want to keep the old version order so I can use my 18650s at 3.7v.
I hope this was right. If not, could someone please let me know?
Thanks!
Lu
Hi Lu,
Yes, The original version will not incorporate the new resistor circuitry, but Steve did state in post #74 "I would also like to add ... 3.7v used WITH a load only pumps out 3.3 - 3.4v". Based on his findings, your 18650 will be in the 3.3-3.4v range.
Steve also suggested in post #46 that "Yes, you can also request the universal charger if you infact want to change your mind and stay with the original config." Just in case you prefer an 18650 compatible charger, not sure if Casey notes the charger choice automatically or not.
Mike
Hey Guys ...
Originally made, to work with both 3.7v and 6.0v+ power, we simply weren't happy with the result. 3.7v (once a higher voltage is experienced) is nothing ... literally. 6v, while still simply amazing, cooks juice at an UNBELIEVABLE rate ... and when in the hands of an inexperienced user, can toast atomizers like nothing ...
EDIT: O, and timing. We are roughly about 7-10 days out![]()
(Actually, I call that my powerhitter so if this, by chance is a bit less, I think that will be okay too. Just wouldn't want to go lower than that.)
