If you get gurgling or leaking from the AFC here's something you could do as well as all the great responces you've gotten so far.
Take your atty off your mod and turn it upside down. Put a paper towel near the air flow opening (to catch the excess juice) and blow into the drip tip a few times till you get just air coming out. This will clear out any excess juice in the chamber and coil. Then puff away. Like most have said not drawing hard but with an even draw. Hope this helps ya.
I did that a couple times today. Refilled it now and trying to draw a little more gently. I'll let you know if it helps :)

Now I remember why I use carto tanks. ;)

Take the AFC Base off and remove the coil and make sure no liquid is in there.

I've had the worst case of vaper's tongue the last couple of days. Nothing seems to work. I finally dug out a couple of old t3s tanks today and I've been vaping on old juice samples I dug out of the cabinet that I didn't originally like. No sense in wasting good juice if I can't taste it. :(
I hate that! I use the old baking soda in water gargle/rinse trick, plus sniffing coffee grounds and of course going bananas brushing my teeth and tongue. I think the last case I had was due to a tooth going bad, though. It wasn't that my taste for my juice went away, it was more a case of the taste of it was "dull" and kinda bad. I feel for ya! Hope it clears up soon!

I'm using 11.5 on a 2ohm coil. The snap, crackle, pop only comes when I'm drawing slower. I usually draw beyond the crackle point, but now I'm worrying if that's what makes it leak.

Hadn't really noticed before...but with the GS Air M tank I am hearing a bit of crackling with every puff, too. My AFC is set to almost closed...just a little hole showing. It doesn't flood or anything like that with the AFC that small ...does seem to conserve my juice a bit, though. I really hadn't paid attention to the crackly noise. It's not loud or much. Guess it's always been there and I just didn't notice. My carto tanks used to get so noisy when I first started a new carto it'd sound like I was sucking the last of a milkshake out out of a paper cup with a straw! Lawd....embarrassing in public!

Yeah... people blathering on about vaping unflavored are generally always vaping a great deal of VG -- unflavored PG is pretty rank!

I am pretty sure that I am a hopeless, died in the wool, tootle puffer, but really OLD SCHOOL tootle puffer.

Please don't laugh, but I was sitting here thinking how much I REALLY enjoyed using a Siam Mods slotted iO6 drip tip, with a 306 exposed-bridge Cisco atomizer, atop a REO....

....used to sit here just manually dripping. Was very relaxing.

Also thought that Siam slotted tip with the atty looked great on the Provari mini.

I wonder if there are others like me? I can honestly say, I really did not enjoy the Nautilus clearo, or anything that I've tried that has come out since about 2013

I am probably just cut out to live in cabin in woods and vape old school......I even got rid of my sewing machine because I really enjoy sewing by hand. I grew up sewing by hand, people often tell me my stitching looks like a sewing machine did it, I love making perfectlyeven stitches on hems, curtains, etc. Dragging out a machine and doing all that other stuff is just more trouble than it's worth! If you have the time, you can pretty much sew anything by hand, even make an entire dress (I've done it )

I didn't like the Nautilus either, but right after I tried that, I got a Kayfun, and really haven't looked back. The only thing I've found better than a Kayfun is my Achilles... but if I hadn't been using such a high-gunk juice, I might not even have found it; the high-gunk causes such a problem in a tank, I had to keep searching to find a tootle-puffin RDA I really like.

I tried a couple of those tiny little 510 atomizers when I first started... but all I could taste was either (gurgle) or hot metal. Stuck 'em in a drawer and haven't even looked at 'em in a year.

Sorry I just read you post again. Are you sure you want 3.7watts that sounds like you are in voltage mode. If it's watts then That's extremely low. I vape at 3.8 volts on a resistance of 1.8ohm which give me 8watts of power. Ohms is the resistance on your evod.

Here is a little calculator to see what you need. Plug a couple of variables and hit calculate.

Online Conversion - Ohm's Law Calculator

Yeah an iStick won't go below 5w, and a 20w iStick, even if set to 5w, still won't provide that low a wattage, since it won't step down.

Or maybe I am the problem causing the tank to leak?

When I take a draw, it snap-crackles a lot. So I draw a little harder to prevent that sound as I've associated that sound with leaking. Maybe what I do is what's causing leaks?

I've drawed the same way I've always done (not cigarette draw!)

Yes it sounds like the atty chamber is flooded -- maybe from drawing too hard. The snap-crackle is normal. Instead of blowing thru the airhole, blow out thru the driptip; that will blow some moisture out of the chamber, thru the airholes, but once it's out, it should stop leaking.

    :)

To clarify that, take the topper off the PV, hold it tip down with a vaper towel under, and blow gently from the connection end. Same procedure for any bottom coil topper. If you blow into the tip, you just force more liquid out.

Just to clarify, i know VERY WELL, how to empty liquid out of the airholes off tanks. Pretty much every day, maaany times.

But maybe it's my "drawing technique" that does it. We'll see. I'll just have to get used to pop, snapple, crackle. Which is pretty annoying and when it occurs, everyone seems to think something is wrong with it, or saying "that thing makes a lot of noise!"

I've associated that sound with problems/too slow draw. Also, when I've watched reviews (mostly indoorsmokers), it's just a clean sound and seems like he's sucking hard, but doesn't get any juice leaking through the hole (this just doesn't sound right).

Anyways, I gave the customs a call, and they were sorry for making the packafe delayed, and it was a mistake by putting it there at all, so I'll recieve it before friday, if I can trust that..

I would just hold it upside down and blow out thru the driptip -- works great with a Kayfun, to clear a flooded chamber.

Well I found out that what I have isn't actually vaper's tongue. It just kept seeming different because I had a metallic taste in my mouth and I couldn't really taste my food either, not even something hot. So last night I started thinking about when this started. And I realized it was a couple of days ago when I ran out of my regular mouth wash and started using some Crest Pro Health that I got on sale to try.

So late last night I started doing some googling and was shocked to find thousands of posts by people who have used Crest Pro Health and their taste buds were dead for weeks afterward. Plus some people had a lot of other even worse symptoms. Evidently, this has been going on since 2007 when the product first came out, and yet they are still selling it. I dumped the rest of it out, but I'm pretty mad about the whole thing. Still no taste this morning. I just hope it doesn't take weeks like some people were saying. :-x

Totally agree, Andria! I vape 65% PG. When I tried it yesterday, I was getting that strong metallic taste, so maybe it isn't quite as bad as I think, but I doubt I will ever go to unflavored.

Never tried unflavored PG, But I do vape 100% unflavored VG every day, nothing else.

Guess I'm just so used to it by now (About a year in) that I really have no desire for anything else.

Added bonus is that it does not smell like anything really, So no one is bothered by it when they come in to my study.

Well, and its very affordable.....While I'm sure it could be done even cheaper I spent $60 on juice last year, I used to spend that in a week on cigarettes.

And mine is 85% PG, so imagine how awful THAT would be. :D

Now that you've found the cause of the dead tastebuds, hope it sorts itself soon! That sinus infection I suffered for so many weeks didn't seem to bother my buds too much, but sure did a number on my sense of smell -- I could still smell everything, but it smelled BAD. I don't get that horrible rank smell up inside my sinuses as I used to when I smoked, but it does really mess up your sense of smell, to have an infection going on, even without all the tar up in there.
