I'll use the kick then :)

Vapez

The kick will regulate your vape. You can adjust the wattage to your liking. The fuse will only stop you from going over 7 amps and protect you if your mod should fire continuously or if the battery should go nuclear.

I'll limit myself to the amps.

And I've understood that the fuse is what the protected batteries has, and unprotected doesn"t. So I'll just pick up a protected one later on.

"Protected" batteries are ICR (Lithium Cobalt) batteries. They are an explosive chemistry (thus the need for the protection). Also they are low amperage batteries (normally about 4 amp)
IMO ICR batteries have no place in vaping anymore.

    Please do more battery research.

I agree whole-heartedly with TJ on that - NO protected batteries for vaping. OK for flashlights.

And in the spirit of not just one voice, if you peruse the musings of others around here more into research, I think you'll find that's the consensus :)

Took one of the premade rba coils in the box, wicked it (took a few tried until I realised that you have to use one perticular direction on the cotton, it just fell apart... [emoji14] ) and tried my way up to 40w @0.5ohms. This thing hits hard! Damn. Used my 70VG, 3mg moliq sample I got for free

It'll be fun for a while, then I'll go back to my usual ohms :)

Which means you should not go above 9 amps.
As the battery ages the mAh degrades, as the mAh degrades the CDR degrades.

The Kick ring for the Nemesis is a spacer, not to be confused with the lock ring. (the center gold colored ring in my picture)
Also you can either use a kick or a fuse, but not both at the same time. (you would have to have two kick rings just to have enough room for both)

    Given that 1.7Ω at 9w doesn't even hit 3A, I think I'm pretty safe. ;) Tootle puffer, remember??? :D

Yep. Vaping at 40W with at 0.5 ohms is going to burn up your juice...and battery...FAST.
I figured that out yes haha.

I can see the juice disappear after every drag. When this tank is empty, which i guess will happen very soon, I'll build a 1.4-1.8ohm coil and lower the watts :)

I got my Efests for my Sigelei; they're also fine in my Vamo. I got the AWs for my mechs, since I always use a Kick, so I needed the shorter ones; really have no need of 18A, but I figured extra safety was a good thing for a mech, and they cost the same as the lower amperage ones anyway, at sweet-vapes.
The Samsung 25Rs I found at ilumn are $5 each -- not too shabby for 20A batteries! Plus the battery case they throw in when you buy a pair. :)

FYI > Andria, I'm guessing you have read the 'fine print'
    on sweet-vapes AW page... ?

    jus sayin'

    :)

Yes, and also whatever post in whatever forum it was, where the link to the "authorized resellers" list was given -- I got burned on some "AW" batts I bought when i first started, turned out to be counterfeits, so I did some investigating and turned up all that. Fortunately, 2 of the authorized resellers are vendors I buy from quite often -- sweet vapes and desertvapes -- so I go to them for AWs, usually sweet vapes, their prices are better. But I heard so much ruckus about the 25Rs and ilumn.com, I ordered those for my most recent battery purchase.

They really should have been here today, but I guess I can thank the xmas frenzy that they didn't show up. Maybe tomorrow.

    Andria

(ETA: my husband has a black light tube left from his hippie days, so i checked out the AWs I got from sweet-vapes -- they're real!!)

Building coils is ridiculously easy. I built my first coil in less than 10 minutes, and it vapes better than the premades.

I spent tons of hours watching videos by forehand, and thought it looked difficult. It wasn't at all. Premade coils never again. Who wants an aerotank mega? [emoji14]
