Building coils is ridiculously easy. I built my first coil in less than 10 minutes, and it vapes better than the premades.

I spent tons of hours watching videos by forehand, and thought it looked difficult. It wasn't at all. Premade coils never again. Who wants an aerotank mega? [emoji14]

Yes, for most of us who build, wrapping coils is the easy part. It's the wicking that can be a bit more fiddly, depending on the atty. :D

They would be Lithium Cobalt, so save them for your flashlights.
The Sanyo spec sheet just says lithium ion.

Been using them in my Zmax V3 for months now.

They actually run cooler in my charger than tthe HG2's do. And do not heat up with use.

Max CDR is 4.3 amps per Sanyo. And 14 watts is 3.3 amps. So I am well under the CDR limit.

Like they guy with the Variant Ant Mod I am a professional ;)

Totally agree!

You know that blue iPV mini I was crowing about yesterday, that my husband says to go ahead and order for my xmas present from him? Well TD in the wompers' thread gave me the unpleasant news that the silly thing won't step down. :grr: But I think I have solved that problem. I jsut wrapped a coil using my beloved 29ga, 8 wraps around 7/64 instead of the 3/32 I'm accustomed to... it comes out to 2.1Ω. I was worried that wicking it would be a problem, being larger than what I'm used to, but apparently just peeling the outer layers off the strip of Shiseido is just the ticket, rather than pulling the strip perfectly in half as I do for thje 3/32's.... got it going, got the CF4 up to 9.5w now, and it's vaping quite nicely. In a bit, I'll turn it to 10w and see if I still like it, but it's looking like that iPV mini won't be a problem for me, with a higher-resistance coil. YAY!

This thing is soooooooooo gorgeous!!!!

Wrapping the coil was easy. I bought kuro coilers to make it easier, but I ended up just using a 2.5mm rod instead. No hot spots at first test fire. I've wicked twice, and it was more difficult than wrapping the coil, but still didn't take me long. After I fogured which way I should cut the cotton [emoji14]

I'm using puff 100% organic cotton for 10$ at fasttech. It's a great cotton to use and vape with. 120grams and it will probably last a lifetime [emoji14]

You can rebuild those coils as well.

Yep! And since the 8 wraps around 7/64 comes to just a bit over 2Ω, I could probably stick with the 7 wraps I'm used to, because just using the 7/64 instead fo the 3/32 makes it a bit higher resistance. Got it at 10w now, and it's just fine!

I'm glad I could figure out a way to work it, because I'm totally in love with that blue iPV mini -- the difference in what it will provide, and what I can stand, was so slim, it was pretty easy to figure out a way to address it. And even wicking isnt' the problem I worried it would be, since I can just peel off the outer layers of the shiseido -- just got a big pkg of that a week or so ago, so I'm well set for wicking. :D

I looked through the "caution" part in the manual of the subox. It says:

"10. Do not use the electronic cigarette more frequently or for longer periods than conventional cigarettes. The electronic cigarette is not a smoking cessation device"

Isn't that a bit strange?

Vapez
That because they are correct. The only two methods I am aware of for quitting smokes is willpower and death.

All my vape does is increase my willpower.

If it is a smoking cessation device it falls into all kinds of legal problem in various countries.

That's just legal CYA. Most of us do vape more than we smoked, especially at first, but some never stop doing that. No one can tell another person what is right for them -- only an individual can determine the proper amount of nic, or time, or flavor, or whatever, for their own body. Pay it no mind.

Correct, i just read through the manual because why not, then I saw that. But probably a legal thing then.

Found my perfect vape at 9,5watts, 1,7ohms.

Someone actually read a manual??
For vape gear, I usually do actually. They are short and some things are good to know.

I've learnt tons more about ohms law, resistance, electricity and battery safety with vaping than I ever did at school or elsewhere. It wasn't long ago I bought "12500mAh super gold 2000" batteries for my samsung and cheap "super special" chargers for $2 at eBay. Sometimes I wonder how I survived. It's not weird at all why people misuse batteries and end up getting hurt in explosions etc. They have never been told or learnt anything about the subject.
