1. DIY juice with out added flavor.
2. Ready-X-Wick

90% of my DIY juice is unflavored. The ones I flavor at normal percentages are used as additives to my unflavored tanks. I mix them at generally recommended flavor percentages, but hardly ever fill a tank with them. I'm stuck on rayon for wicking. It's amazing how your taste buds perk up when you flavor lightly.

I'm a squonker and have three tanks going, two with RXW and one with rayon. If I want some flavor then I put a drop or two down the ole drip tip, good stuff.

Anything can be improved, but I love vaping much more than I hated being addicted to cigarettes.

I can't think of anything about vaping that I can't change or modify to make better. I'd like to see a coil wire that doesn't crud up and require dry burn or frequent replacement and wicking that lasts a week or more.
Couldn't agree more. I have absolutley NO complaints about vaping these days. Took a little time to figure out a vape I liked, the equipment I needed for it, etc. But I think most complaints folks have can be resolved one way or another.

Some peoples peeves aren't an issue at all for some of us. It's a very personal thing.

My final issues were resolved by:

1) Squonking - No more picky builds/wicking required for most RTAs. Hard to wick a squonk RDA wrong. Leaky RTAs were really resolved for me by top airflow tanks, but still had to fiddle with wicking until I got it down for new tank. Also, occasional dry hits if I'm chaining. None of this is an issue with squonking. Can't remember last time I got a dry hit, or had my RDA leak.
2) Frequent coil cleaning and rewicking as mentioned by @DaveP was resolved for me by switching to unflavored juice. I never smoked for the taste, I did it for the nicotine. Same with vaping. Even though using rebuildables saves the cost associated with frequent coil replacements, it's a PITA to me. Too much effort. Vaping unflavored, I used to rewick once/week on the weekend, just for something to do. Now, I only do it every two weeks, and it still could go another week or two if I'm feeling lazy.

So my final changes to vaping that pretty much made it perfect for me, was changing to squonking. I had switched to unflavored juice years prior to this when I was replacing factory coils all the time.

I sometimes pick up new equipment, but it's really just to try something new or have it in the vape closet. I'm really pleased with my current setups, nothing I NEED to change.

Also found what's a perfect wire/build for me. I use the Ni80 0.3x0.9mm rectangle wire and do 7 wraps @ 3mm. This comes out to about 0.4ohms for me on most of my RDAs, and I like the vape on both regulated and unregulated devices.

Actually, thinking about it,

The shills
The concern trolls
The misinformation and out right dodgy science on both sides.
The willingness of the average joe in the street including vapers to trot out that misinformation as though its fact.
The corrupt governments that are addicted to tobacco, addicted to the kick backs and revenue.

Everything about vaping is easy, the drop in coil tanks, building and wicking coils for rta's, mods are simple devices to operate, diy juice is not a steep learning curve, none of it is, its a fun, easy to learn thing. There are levels for everyone.
The only thing that bothers me is the lying and corruption, on both sides.

Am I reading that you squonk unflavoured?
Ive wondered about squonking but I use unflavoured also and was wondering what benefits I might find in it over rta's

Oh yeah, I squonk unflavored. That's another annoyance of flavored juice to me is it was hard to get the flavor completely out of a tank/RDA when I wanted to change it. None of my squonk gear has ever seen anything other than unflavored juice.

I got hooked on squonking very quickly. I still have and buy RTAs here/there, but I've only built/used them infrequently since I switched to squonking.

As I mentioned, leaky or consensation from bottom airflow RTAs got old. Top airflow RTAs fixed this for me, but I still had to fiddle with picky wicking, fluff cotton, and deal with learning exactly how to build/wick a new RTA to get it to perform well, no dry hits, etc. Sometimes, if I was in a hurry, even when I was familiar with a tank, I would screw it up and not realize right away if I hadn't built it in a while.

With squonking, I have pretty much built/wicked almost any RDA I've tried perfectly the first time. And with unflavored, there's not even much fiddling with coil placement. I still get a great vape. Wicking is so short, I don't even bother fluffing the ends. Just cut my cotton to length, tuck it in the the bottom of the RDA, and I'm good to go.

If you switch RDAs a lot, some of them squonk a little differently. For example, my Asmodus C4 saturates pretty well with quick short squeezes, my Recurve is more of a press/hold. But once you get used to it, it's second nature to keep the wicks wet. If I chain, I just squonk more often. No worries about dry hits.

Also, RDAs that are more geared towards squonking, can be pretty leak resistant. Some of them, you have to pretty much be careless to flood them and get them to leak. Most excess juice gets sucked back down into the bottle.

For me, I've got a lot of 'standard' gear that will probably sit in the vape closet for the most part. Really need to quit buying new RTAs and non-squonk mods. The only way they'll ever get used regularly is if all of my squonk gears dies.

EDIT: Yeah, I just built my Zeus OG and Serpent Elevate a week or two ago. Remember thinking what a PITA it was compared to a simple single coil RDA build. I mean honestly not difficult and they both vape great, but it's still more work than building a single coil squonk RDA. When I go to rewick and clean my coil, no tank to flip or deal with. Just pull the top cap, yank the wicking, pulse rinse, and rewick. I only do this every two weeks currently, but only takes 2-3 mins for each RDA. No fiddling with anything is required.

For me, it's ALL about simplicity these days.

It's hard work to get it right with vaping. But eventually you do get it right and it was all worth while.

When I first started vaping the fussiness was a benefit. It absorbed enough of my attention to distract me from wanting a cigarette. For a lot of people the things you hate are the things that keep you interested. For others something like a pod that you just pick up and use and throw away when it's empty would work better.

I just ordered a mod from a vendor I never used before in China. Nothing happened for 4 days. Then it set off across the Pacific and nothing happened for another 7 days. It popped up briefly in CA with DHL and disappeared for another 5 days until it reached Cincinnati this morning to be handed off to USPS. Now I wait for USPS to accept it and get it to Indy where it will disappear into something called the Annex for a couple more days. Three expected delivery dates have come and gone. It was all annoying but kind of fun at the same time, like scratching an itch. The actual vaping I've got figured out to the point where I don't have to think about it much any more.

I honestly can't think of anything that I hate about vaping itself. I love it and wish I'd tried it many years before I actually did!

There are some things that irritate me though, that are associated with it (ie. slow shipping by some vendors, the negative comments and/or outright lies about vaping, the overinflated prices of most commercial eliquids for those who don't DIY, the skewed public opinion about vaping in general, etc.).

Having come from the Early Days of e-Cigarettes, I Don't have many Gripes about stuff Today.

Because stuff Today is about 27 Light Years ahead of what I quit Smoking with. And so Much that we take for granted Today wasn't even thought up back in late 2009.

But I do have a Major Issue with e-Cigarettes

And that is the how e-Cigarette Use is used as a Pawn to Garnish Negative Headlines in the US Media supported by Quasi-Science, FUD and Half Truths, or Out Right Deception.

And how Most State/Federal Legislators see e-Cigarettes/e-Liquids as Nothing More than an Emotional Card to be played to "protect the children". Or a Tax Vehicle to fund more Fiscal Irresponsibility.

It's Funny. Hundreds of Thousands of Smokers who couldn't quit by any means have Quit, but that story Isn't good enough. But 1 Battery Venting in a Pocket full of Change is National News.

Vaping is fine as-is for me. I"m a happy guy. The only thing I'd like is to be able to go to the convenience store or a vape shop and buy a pack of 20 juice cartridges that slip into my tank and last 24 hours each. Of course, those would have to be superior flavors at reasonable prices or I'd just mix my own. Even then, I'd worry about not knowing what's in them. :) DIY is more transparent.

For me, DIY has been the winner. I mix up 400ml unflavored juice with my 3mg/ml nic level once every two or three months. When I do that I mix half a dozen 100ml bottles of various flavors at the same nic level. The flavor mixes usually serve as flavor adds to a tank of unflavored juice if I'm wanting something different.

Sometimes I hate that my vape gear distracts my funds from my shoe/purse collection.
Sometimes I had the mess all over. I have tried to keep it organized and out of the way but invariably I have it back all over the house again. Building station at the dining room table gets somewhat cleaned up on most days but never fully put away because if it were all put away I would be dragging it back out in a day or two. Bottles of juice all over my desk. An atty here and there. A whole corner of my office designated to battery chargers and batteries. It was easier to keep the house picked up before vaping.
I also hate the vendors that make juice that looks like candy.
I hate the wrongful propaganda.

I love the new gear personally. I no longer have to deal with PT2, i clear or Vivi Nova coils. I no longer have to build 22mm 3 post attys or fidget with old school mech mods because the regulated devices topped out at around 15W. Even the new mech mods are built much better than the old ones. The trend has died down now and most of the d-bags have moved on, so I have no gripes with that anymore. Technology has improved so much at the high power end of the spectrum, now things on the MTL side have become more popular and are advancing rapidly. Commercial e liquid now is much cheaper than it used to be. I do hate the anti vaping movement, and disinformation spread from our government through the media they control, but I think we will win in the end.

My wife, who does not vape or smoke, would probably be a good person to ask this question. I was over a friends house one weekend and he could not find his mod and 3 bottles of juice he recently bought. His wife warns him all the time to put his stuff away. We found the mod and 3 bottles of juice in the garbage.

That happened with my guy (at the time) and his 27 pair of tennis shoes/sneakers/kicks/basketball footwear left ALLLLLLLLLLL over the house.

He finally found them.

In the fireplace.

;)
