1. DIY juice with out added flavor.
2. Ready-X-Wick
90% of my DIY juice is unflavored. The ones I flavor are used as additives to my unflavored tanks. I mix them at generally recommended flavor percentages, but hardly ever fill a tank with them. I'm stuck on rayon for wicking. It's amazing how your taste buds perk up when you flavor lightly.
Couldn't agree more. I have absolutley NO complaints about vaping these days. Took a little time to figure out a vape I liked, the equipment I needed for it, etc. But I think most complaints folks have can be resolved one way or another.Anything can be improved, but I love vaping much more than I hated being addicted to cigarettes.
I can't think of anything about vaping that I can't change or modify to make better. I'd like to see a coil wire that doesn't crud up and require dry burn or frequent replacement and wicking that lasts a week or more.
Am I reading that you squonk unflavoured?Couldn't agree more. I have absolutley NO complaints about vaping these days. Took a little time to figure out a vape I liked, the equipment I needed for it, etc. But I think most complaints folks have can be resolved one way or another.
Some peoples peeves aren't an issue at all for some of us. It's a very personal thing.
My final issues were resolved by:
1) Squonking - No more picky builds/wicking required for most RTAs. Hard to wick a squonk RDA wrong. Leaky RTAs were really resolved for me by top airflow tanks, but still had to fiddle with wicking until I got it down for new tank. Also, occasional dry hits if I'm chaining. None of this is an issue with squonking. Can't remember last time I got a dry hit, or had my RDA leak.
2) Frequent coil cleaning and rewicking as mentioned by @DaveP was resolved for me by switching to unflavored juice. I never smoked for the taste, I did it for the nicotine. Same with vaping. Even though using rebuildables saves the cost associated with frequent coil replacements, it's a PITA to me. Too much effort. Vaping unflavored, I used to rewick once/week on the weekend, just for something to do. Now, I only do it every two weeks, and it still could go another week or two if I'm feeling lazy.
So my final changes to vaping that pretty much made it perfect for me, was changing to squonking. I had switched to unfalvored juice years prior to this when I was replacing factory coils all the time.
I sometimes pick up new equipment, but it's really just to try something new or have it in the vape closet. I'm really pleased with my current setups, nothing I NEED to change.
Also found what's a perfect wire/build for me. I use the Ni80 0.3x0.9mm rectangle wire and do 7 wraps @ 3mm. This comes out to about 0.4ohms for me on most of my RDAs, and I like the vape on both regulated and unregulated devices.
Am I reading that you squonk unflavoured?
Ive wondered about squonking but I use unflavoured also and was wondering what benefits I might find in it over rta's
My wife, who does not vape or smoke, would probably be a good person to ask this question. I was over a friends house one weekend and he could not find his mod and 3 bottles of juice he recently bought. His wife warns him all the time to put his stuff away. We found the mod and 3 bottles of juice in the garbage.
