There's a Tilemahos version coming out next month guys, it's on pre-order at the moment. If it's anything like the last 2 it's definitely worth looking out for.

Sadly no details yet, so just for the die-hard GG fans to pre-order before the release.

MTL? All the way baby! I used KFL's for awhile, then they began to take a back seat to some of the shorter, lighter rta's which I prefer. Then in another thread, @Two_Bears turned me on to these KFL's. A KFL base, and a flat top bell cap, now all my KFL's are back in service, and I have some more bases and bell caps coming from FT.

Here are some favorite MTLr's. L to R is of course a carto/tank, three KFL's, and an ERLK. Good stuff for a MTL vaporer. I also use(not pictured) a couple Serpent Minis with a 1.4mm MTL kit insert.

Which bell caps are these? Do they use the original chimney parts?

Yeah buddy, I have a TON of KFL+ parts I have bought from FT, bases, chimneys, slam caps, bell caps, top fill caps, etc. Enough to last many, many years!

The Kayfun Lite Plus V2 has a huuuge amount of after-market parts, most all available at FT. I recommend getting one to try it for a month. The Kayfun series has always been above average, simple, and well supported.

Speaking of Kayfun, the V5 and the Mini V3 are the current ones. As someone mentioned, the V5 has a chamber that is a tiny bit to large and that affects flavor. But, the clones are well made and used by many.

I have multiples of all three. Simple, easy to use.

    MTLFTW!

I am pretty satisfied rotating between kf mini v3, kf v3 plus 1.5, hurricane and merlin.....with a sjmy v5 and. Rose3 on the way. All clones since i am a cheap b@@@@@d.

The mini v3 and hurricane are stellar vapes.....the merlins outstanding flavor is let down by poor construction in my particular piece....really hard to grip and unscrew it to fill and tinker on the deck....plus it seeps at the base all around the afc ring....seems to be a poor press fit....what a bummer.

Also, no other drip tip fits my kayfun mini v3 and kf plus 1.5....i like narrow bore tips but they are too big i guess.

Ive got my eye on the taifun gt3, calix v2, ubertoot uta and tilemahos.

Calix V2 and Tilemahos V2 both are in my rotation. Both are a bit looser than a KFL but still great MTL.

I've taken excursions into "new" RTA/RDA's and I generally come right back to my Kayfuns. It's hard to find a good MTL tank these days because VG vaping and the popularity of cloud making has driven the industry to manufacture mostly DTL tanks. They don't work well with the air flow closed down to a MTL style vape. The juice channels are enlarged for higher wattage and you eventually end up with a gurgling tank at 10W to 15W and that leads to leakage through the air holes.

Most of us didn't begin to vape so that we could impress our friends with huge volumes of vapor. We started with some version of an eGo style mod with low wattage and short vape time on a charge. That, and we were looking for a safer replacement for a pack of smokes. MTL fit that need to a Tee. MTL replicated the feel of smoking a cigarette.

I have benefited from the change, though. It's pretty easy to find a good Kayfun clone these days for $10 and sometimes even less. I've bought several for $4.95. I picked up a Squape Reloaded for $2 once on sale!

Glad i could turn you into those little bell caps. Now my Kayfun only weighs 1/4-1/3 as much. I think the flavor isva little better too.

This thread was an interesting read.

I've been using the KFM3 for a while now switching over from the KFL+2; flavor is lacking just a bit but I find the KFM3 the better overall tank. If you tighten the airflow almost all the way the flavor can get there. I'm liking the draw a bit more airy than the lite+ though. I find the mini a bit easier to wick, and the juice control is fantastic. Not one of those marketing gimmicks that advertises being adjustable but it's really just opened or closed. A bit of leaking all it takes to fix is a quarter to half turn tighter. This gives it a lot of flexibility over the KFL+2.

I did pick up a smjy KF5 clone, haven't used it yet. It is phenomenal quality for a clone. I tested the draw options and they seem way too airy. Haven't looked around for the MTL kit yet
