I'm lucky in that I am in Mississippi and we have a pretty strong lobby and have kept almost all those laws from going anywhere.
In addition, I am part of the team for Paradigm
vape News and have been keeping up quite closely with all the states in the US and provinces in Canada and what laws, call to action, etc. are out there. They are getting crazy but many of these silly bills are being defeated. There are areas like New Jersey that have gotten it
through but there is a bit of a change in the wind. We need some legislation and some regulation. We just need it to be sensible. As more advocates get that and push to guide regulation rather than deny all of it, I am seeing some shift.
We are far from out of the woods but our efforts are beginning to make a difference. Plus, let's face it...as time goes on, people in this country get bored of the latest crisis and begin ignoring it and so do the politicians. There is a lot of work to do but I see that the work is beginning to have some effect.
I prefer realistic hope to optimism but I'll accept either term to describe my stance.
