I have a new wick and coil in my a2-t genisis setup, I wrapped the mesh around the a2 fiberglass wick like you are supposed to do with the piercing plate and made the coil around the mesh instead of using just mesh. The wicking seems to be more controlled. I also have the wick sitting on the negative screw to create space for the coil so it is not creating a short. Heres where I just ordered a dse701 - 510 drip adapter for my a2 along with a ss torpedo tank with pyrex tube:

I created this in about 2 min today when someone asked for a coil winder for the iatti: IMAG0093.jpg

It is a paper clip and two wood blocks. The coil is attached to the "handle" than a wick is held in place than you turn the handle creating a tight coil. You could also wrap mesh around the paper clip than make the coil around that. The clip slides out of the wood blocks than you can slide the coil and wick off.

just got a call today from msc, they can ship directly from the factory if you order 150 ft or more other wise it is a 4-6 week wait. It is cheap after 25% off. and at 1/16" it is a good size. the mcmaster car 1/16" fiberglass is a tight braid this is twisted like the stuff from bulli, tight braids won't wick as well. and silica is just all glass fiber.
