@Oliver, Darling.....

NICE options on the "feedback". Often, we "like" something to acknowledge we've read, but we really don't "like" what we read (someone's mod or tank broke; they dumped the bottle of their favorite juice on themselves, you know....) I don't "like" that this has happened, but I want the OP to know I'd read it....

Well played, good sir!
Yes, this. But I've always wanted to see an OMG or horrifying or horrifyingly funny button of some sort on that rating system.

Are forum suppliers locked out of using the new Post Rating system? I've heard grumblings from both of my favorite ones that they can't Like or otherwise rate posts, even in their own supplier threads. At first I thought it was a problem with the fact that they were posting from a phone, but I have no problems with it from my phone, and I had one of them try pretty much everything; different forum Styles, and even a different browser, all to no avail...

Fix likes for tapatalk
Add "sad", "thanks"

Either, make the likes and trading feedback clearly differentiated OR remove the neutral ratings from view.

I understand it's broken with Tapatalk. But he's using a browser. Heck, I even had him try a different browser (Brave) instead of Chrome.

Here's a screen-shot from his phone:

and here's one from mine (which works just fine):

@Oliver It would be nice for many people on ECF to have a "hugs" like. There are many people on the, old farts threads and elsewhere, that are dealing with horrific diseases and ailments, personal disasters, etc. @mikepetro essentially brought up the same thing. New Likes Feedback Thread

It would be applicable to everything from a cancer diagnosis, loss of a pet, natural disaster devastation, to a tank that won't stop gurgling.

Here's hoping you consider it.

ETA - Why is the "optimistic" a neutral like? Somebody says their wife is sick and they're going to the doctor so you indicate you're staying optimistic for them and it turns out to be a neutral "like." :(

yup! ;) because being optimistic does not guarantee a favorable outcome :p
Case in point. I got a rainbow about my $31k IRS co-op tax bill. People wishing for the best, that is hardly nuetral.

Yes, if possible I would like our optimistic rainbow to be positive, not neutral...

Rainbows are optimistic and positive, optimism is positive, usually so much so that pessimistic types cannot stand optimistic types because they are too happy even in the worst of situations...

Optimism is a positive outlook on life, so we should have our optimistic rainbow to be positive.

Otherwise we are all acting like my ex husband who, after the transmission went out in the car and we had a 5 mile hike home, slapped me when I said, at least it's a beautiful day for a walk.. (and quite frankly it was.. 76 degrees with a nice breeze and sunshine, could have been much worse!)

I don't like slapping people, and I darn sure don't like people who would...

I think that was me. "Optimistic" is perfect for a post like that; one can't "Like" the fact that you got such a bill, one can't "Agree" because it's just wrong that they're doing this, etc, etc.

Yes, "Optimistic" should be positive.
