Official IO6 Atomizer beta thread...

I am running 4 right now... a 1.5... a 2.5 and (2) 3.5's...

these have been running better after almost a month...

I sell/sold all of mine. I have the Sgt VV Army tank, Buzz Pro, Caliber 308, and Thor's Hammer. Oh, and the Ikon eGo battery. I do have a Katana on the way - and if that doesn't work for me it'll be sold as well. Which reminds me... I need to order some SS mesh wick...

I've never even heard of some of those mods. Guess I need to go into the rest of ECF once in a while. I'm waiting for Switcher to get them IMist in stock. They look pretty good. Oh and I still have the first I06 I got working but I don't use it every day. Gets in the way of my fusions.

this is probably old news to most of you, but i have had a pair of I06s for about a month, and every time i go to use them I get put off by a faint soapy/metallic taste they have. tried them several times since i got them, sometimes going for a full weekend with one to see if if the nasty flavor would diminish or burn off but came back to one today and its still there. any suggestions, or is this typical with the I06?

Are you using the standard delrin drip tip? That is the only time I had that taste with them. Any other drip tip and the problem goes away.

Hmmm...the first io6 I ever tried had the soapy taste with the standard drip tip. Then I switched to the Silhouette and the problem went away. I just figured the original drip tip was the problem...maybe not though. I never had the problem again on the last 4 I have tried.

I never encountered such problems with my io6 (taste and smell of soap), keep them very wet all the time, they use bottom feed.
Like using a drip tip made me kind of sleeve.

I know the first runs were a bit like that and word is Isaac fixed that.... I was flowery to me and didn't bother me that much. I put a lot of menthol through that one; i recall.

so, are you suggesting I rinse the drip tip? PGA, or warm water, maybe both? dont mean to seem rude, but your response is not quite clear to me. do you mean to say that the DT was improperly rinse at the manufacturer, or that I had not done it correctly. To be honest I've given everything a PGA soak to no avail. If there is another rinsing technique that would work I am all ears.

Not suggesting anything at all. When Isaac first got the IO6s many reported the soapy taste as well - I was one of them. We thought it was the atty, it was the DTs. It would dissipate, some would take longer than others. It wasn't until I went with my own design that there was no soapy taste with the atty. Many rinsed their DTs under hot water and all was fine. Some didn't experience anything at all. When we consider the 1Ks coming out of there it is not surprising the variety of reports.

ok, i'll try a hot water rinse and see if that helps. like i said i other wise really liked the i06. i got this DT as opposed to the black delrin version on the IKV site just based on the reviews listed there. maybe i'll order the delrin one as well and see how that one works out. are there other DTs available that folks recommend?

Not at this time I am afraid as the IO6 is pretty much a proprietary atty.

I didn't have any issues with soapy taste but as a precaution I always thoroughly wash my drip tips before using them. One small drop of Dawn, use a small toothbrush (travel size) and then rinse with lots of hot water.

Just got my HV i06 used with Pyrex thecig drip tip. Placed on Provari at 5.5 v.

Holy SH$$ wow wow wow

This is really good no soapy taste just bliss at first vape. Clouds of great vapor. Great taste.

Ikenvape rulz.
