Is the diameter of the IO6 wider than a standard 510? I was thinking about getting some of these, but I use an apex alpha with res, and it won't fit anything wider than a standard 510 due to the design of the res.

Yes, the drip tip does seem to be a shave wider than a 510 and it won't slide freely through the RES, but the bottom end actually goes down far enough to make a clean connection. The mouthpiece end is too wide to go through the bottom of the res, so you'll need to assemble the Alpha and res first and then screw in the IO6 with the drip tip attached. The atomizer connection is a bit shallow, so you might need to push the bushing up inside the switch to help with that.

In actual use, the IO6 really alleviates the gurgliness of the RES for some reason, so if you're like me and love the RES but not it's gurgle, I think you'll be pleasantly surprised with this combination.

Assemble the battery sleeve to the atomizer interface, attach io6 without drip tip to the atomizer interface, screw on the RES, insert drip tip to cover io6. I did it in this order and fitment was fine.

This is exactly the info I was looking for. Sounds like they should work fine. Thanks!

Well, just ordered an io6 with delrin drip tip (and a bunch of LR Fusions, of course). I couldn't wait for the other tips to come out. We'll see if I can get this dripping thing to go right.

Isaac is shipping out orders with great speed today.

Or was that last night? Got a shipping message at 4:25 AM (ordered at 11:23 the previous evening).

I have some intresting information to report. This may or may not have anything to do with the quality control of the atomizers but probably more like a string of bad luck. Here is what happened: (over a course of about a week)

My first I06 was working perfectly. I took a 5 second drag and get tons of vapor. I got for another drag right after and it just stopped working. Seems the atomizer just kicked the bucket for an unknown reason. Multimeter shows an open circut, I have never has an atomizer die so abruptly. Now the second one, I blew it out in order to get the gunky juice out of there. I primed it with four drops and went to take a short drag to see if there was enough liquid. I got a slightly burnt taste. So when I went to add more liquid my device kept firing for some reason and I could not unscrew the atomizer in time. It popped enen though the button on the device was not held down. This has never happened to me before either. Talk about some bad luck - but I'm not done...

I broke out a third new atomizer and primed it with four drops. This one did not have a soapy taste but a horribly burnt taste. I could not vape it. I tried cleaning with PGA and PG but even still the burnt taste would not leave, so I tossed it. Now the FOURTH atomizer, I primed it and it was working just wonderfully. Amazingly in fact. It kept up the work for a few days until I decided to put it in my backpack attached to my device. Aparently the button was depressed in my bag for quite awhile and the atomizer kicked the bucket and the drip tip melted a bit. That one was definetly my fault.

Now on my fifth and final I06 and it is working great as expected. This one did not come with a soapy or burnt taste and man it's awesome. I'm going to order a few more and hope that I don't have horrible luck continue to follow me.

Day 22 for me on my LR I06 Switched it to my brand new Darwin ( which I'm liking a lot by the way ) I06 is still hitting like the day I received it and first dripped into it. Now dripping into it with Darwin at 4.0v/2.1A/1.8 ohm/ 8.4 Watts,,,, This i06 is a monster and vaping freaking plumes of vapor still like the day it was new..! hasn't been cleaned nothing done to it just drip drip drip all day long. 4 drops and vape away for a long long time 4 Drops vape away again.

My order arrived today from Issac, a load of these i06's I just metered all of them, every dam one of them metered in exactly the same. That's some dam good QC on this Atty build for sure ! I'm digging these i06 Atty's very much and I've always been a 510 man, still like the Iken HV 510 but now its a new favorite the i06 since using this IO6 I think.

can the people who ordered recently (after the IKV vacation) let me know if their io6 atties are coming with that soapy/primer taste?

want to give these a better try again

I just got one in from his after vacation shipment and it works great, with zero soap taste. It LR if that makes a difference.
