Not standing the taste is good enough for me. As for peanut butter filled celery, don't waste real food - like peanut butter
Nope. Peanut butter is fine in cookies, celery is fine in soups and such. No other use for either. I suppose if you have an excess of both, you could put peanut butter in the celery and hope that someone else will eat it.

Me! Me! I love both, but I'll eat the pb and then eat the celery. And chunky pb please!

I love celery and PB!
But what is it with celery in the stores lately...it's darker green and woody.
I throw that out...get me to the lighter green insides.
I don't mind the flavor of celery in soups etc, but I pick them aside and don't eat them.

Never got the desire to eat pimento and cheese...I pick pimentos out of olives before I eat the olive

My fondest memories of celery are when my mom would add some finely diced celery to tuna salad. The little bit of celery crunch was just perfect. Plus, if you were at the beach and got a grain of sand in your tuna salad sandwich you could always pretend it was just a piece of celery.

I just ignore the whole thing and go straight for the black olives.

That's actually a good idea. Celery tends to absorb salt.

Don't know about the sand part. But, I still love tuna with itty bitty pieces of celery.

Our little dove is back on her nest - or what passes for a nest in the dove world. Yesterday it looked like she might have abandoned it. Wonder if she's laid an egg because she's very still.

As bad as Irma was for the folks who live in the Keys it was much harder on the animals. The iguana population here was pretty much wiped out, but evidently most of the Key Deer made it through. There used to be lots of raccoons around, but we haven't seen even one of them so far. There are still destroyed homes and structures to be seen, but the clean up is progressing very well.

I always wondered about so many of the palm trees that were ringed with boards to prop them up. Yesterday I was told that those were the new plantings and they leave the supporting boards on for 2 years. It's a wonder so many of them survived the storms.

Good morning peeps! It rained pretty hard here last night, but it's gorgeous this morning. Very considerate of mother nature.
We had the first tornado of the '18 season last night. It was about 3 miles southwest of us. Got loads of rain along with high winds at my house. There are some limbs on the ground but no real damage.

Whew! That was close! Did you see it or was it too dark?

Busy days for us folks here in Florida! Gardening, of course, and prepping for foot surgery on the 21st of May to correct failed surgery last July.

What a gorgeous picture! And I sure hope this surgery works this time!
