@Debadoo a bladder infection triggered roll-on-the floor-groaning with nerve inflammation which got my blood pressure up to 200. My body is now getting used to normal blood pressure. I am still having some pain, but it is not the dominant thing in my life. My brain isn't very happy, but at least I didn't have a clinically significant stroke. I got a home blood pressure monitor, and it is a wonderful new toy.
yipes. Glad it's getting better. I recently got an in home pressure monitor also. It's semi automatic which is what the ins paid for and sent me. I didn't know they made those, but I like it. I'd rather pump it myself, although sometimes it hurts my hand, and it has a good pressure release valve.

That's kind of interesting. I have two pill minder boxes - before breakfast and before the last meal of the day. Keeps things simple and seems to work pretty well.
I use a pill box too, which is the only reason I know sometimes I didn't get the evening meds. I manage to mess em up even with the pill boxes, so I'd be totally lost without em

A smilably good pic of my grand-nephew and grand-niece, who are now 2.5 months old.View attachment 738699

Tonight is homecoming for my oldest grandson!View attachment 739011
is that the one I met? What a great pic of them

Good morning Bea. It's looking like it's going to be a gorgeous day here today. We'll be packing up and heading to Key West this morning. At least we don't have to get on another plane!!

Yesterday we spent a few hours at a place called Theater By the Sea. It was like a miniature Sea World without all the shops. Very nice indeed. All of their animals were rescues. There's a lagoon with several large tortoises with all manner of problems. Some with missing appendages and one that was born deformed so that it didn't have use of it's back legs and tail. They had a floatation device on top of it's shell so it could dive to feed and then resurface. He was huge so it's obvious he's been taken care of for many years. Very interesting!
what a great place! I really wanted to go see Winter, the dolphin with the artificial tail fluke that the movie A Dolphin Tale was about when we were in Bradenton. We were so close, but so much to do, mostly enjoying each other's company!

Interesting imitation hummus. What do you think price-wise and taste-wise?
I love to make my own hummus. Soooooooo much cheaper and super easy to do. Pita chips are super easy to make also.

As a vegetarian I pretty much love anything vegetable…except three: celery, okra and edamame. Don't ask me why…I can't stand their taste :?:
I've never tried edamame, but love okra, if it's breaded and deep fried. Celery........meh...... the flavor is fine, and I do like the crunch it gives chicken salad, but I can't eat it unless I peel all the strings out of it, which takes forever. I can't stand tuna period.

Mama seems pretty busy turning around in circles in the nest, but we haven't spotted any eggs.
mebbe she wuz doin the hokey pokey and got stuck on the turn yurself about part :D

We had the first tornado of the '18 season last night. It was about 3 miles southwest of us. Got loads of rain along with high winds at my house. There are some limbs on the ground but no real damage.
yipes, glad y'all are safe!

Busy days for us folks here in Florida! Gardening, of course, and prepping for foot surgery on the 21st of May to correct failed surgery last July.
Hope this surgery goes great!

Where in the world is @2legsshrt ?

Where in the world is @Semiretired ?

Haven't heard from you guys in some time. How's it going?
I've talked with Pat a bit in pm.......he's doin ok. I'd asked a bit ago about semi on the FP. Worries me we haven't heard from him. I just remembered I have his email addy, so emailed him.

Yes, it is the grandson you met. He's all grown up!

Until y'all started asking about him, I wasn't getting worried. I had just assumed I missed the announcement that he was making his usual visit to the Philippines.

I'd wondered about that, but usually he talks about it a lot before hand. I can't remember what he said about the last one. I know they didn't go one time when they were going to, and can't recall if he said they wouldn't be going anymore, or if they were still, or what. Even when he's there, he still checks in at least usually when they go into town where the internet is.

Good morning whoever is up.

We leave the Keys today and head for home. At least we know that the doves nesting in the palm tree outside our balcony really are sitting on at least 1 egg. Sad to go, this trip went by so fast, but I also am looking forward to seeing our kitties and taking care of our birds at home.

We made it home last night and finally got to sleep in our own home at 3:00 a.m. We'll definitely be dragging today!! It's sad to leave the beautiful Keys, but it sure does feel good to be home!
Guess that saying is true when they say the best part of going away is coming home!

Now, just a minute, there. I also have two inhalers: Symbicort and albuterol. Sometimes, I'm so slow in the mornings I use the albuterol long before the Symbicort. Symbicort requires rinsing the mouth after taking, and I'm not always to the challenge at that time of day.
Did you get the extension for the Symbicort. Was at the VA the other day and they gave me one. Seems the Symbicort comes out so fast most gets on your throat and not in your lungs and this takes care of that. The Albuterol made theirs so it comes out slow so you don't need it for that. Seems to work well.
