Yes he was and she said it was really quick, seemed like just a couple minutes after her spinal block took effect. His name is
Jash Patrick Charles Bradley, Jash from the Bible, Patrick well you know, Charles for his dads name.

Thank You everyone

Jash is a very interesting name and one he's not likely to run into much and that's a good thing. I like it. And how nice that he'll carry your name! That is so sweet.

Thanks Mikey, that's Great Grandpa, now I feel older then my IQ. Boy you guys are the Jetsetters huh?

I already feel older than my IQ!

Not so much a jetsetter as we were in past years. Now that our daughter has moved within driving distance we're thrilled to not have to get on a plane! Looks like this was the one flight we'll have to deal with this year.

I don't get it. I booked the trip to Florida that involved 2 flights down and 2 back. On each leg I chose our seats only to get to the airport and find that on all 4 legs our seats were changed and none of them were together. So each time I had to go to the desk and wait in line to ask them to change the seats which they could only do for 1 leg. Passengers ended up asking other passengers to switch with them after they boarded. Not everyone flying is on a pleasure trip and if someone happens to be very upset it would be awful to separate them from their companion. I was annoyed and very respectfully mentioned to the one agent that I fly Southwest a lot and have never run into this problem. He just told me that they don't make as much money as Delta did. Arrrrrrgh!

Then why don't they not reserve seats at all?! That would work out a lot better. And be more honest.

Exactly. The first time or 2 I didn't like the way Southwest boarded, but after using them so often I find it's way more convenient. We pretty much get to sit where we want. I'd much rather be in the front of the plane so we don't have to wait for the slowpokes. On one of our flights this time they had me in the front and Mike toward the back of the plane. They said they switched planes since I booked (and it doesn't matter if you booked 3 months or 3 days before the flight) so the seating is different. So they must just shift seats around without regard to seats booked together. I'd hate to have to deal with a child sitting apart from me on a plane, but on 2nd thought, maybe it would serve them right to have to have them handle the child! I'm sure the other passengers would let them know what they thought about that!

@Janet H Maybe you need to put your acting skills in action. Display a carefully calibrated amount of anger, just enough to get action, but not enough to get an escalated reaction.

It only takes strong annoyance for them to threaten to call security and have you removed from the terminal! Mike almost got tossed for being annoyed at the lack of compassion from the agent after our 10 p.m. flight was "delayed" until 7 a.m. and nobody was available at the desk in the morning to tell any of us what flight we were to take etc. The agent arrived with an attitude and it went downhill from there.

That's what Southwest does. You still board by zones, but your boarding ticket gives you a number and people line up in order and choose whatever seat they want when they board. It works great.

I wonder how much more expensive it would be to charter a private airline. TSA is bad enough. But, it looks like TSA is causing even more problems than just the direct annoyance/abuse.

I'm sure it costs more than we could ever afford, but I like the idea!! Because we traveled so much we got a Known Traveler Number. Sure makes boarding a lot easier! I had to laugh though. We boarded our flight from the Key West Airport. They have all of 4 desks for the agents and you have to walk the tarmac to board the plane. Of course there was only 1 boarding line, nothing separate for people with KTN's, but they did give us a little laminated piece of paper to hand the TSA agent and we didn't have to take off our shoes!!
