Our forecast is for snow off and on for the rest of the week and the start and stop times keep moving. Unfortunately we've got appointments each day this week so I'm sure we'll be doing some shuffling. February is usually our snow month if we're going to get any. This year seems to be making up for other years when we haven't gotten any at all.

Yeah, bad roads / weather no longer an issue - unless appointments!

Finally starting the cool-down here, said to be colder each day until the weekend, but mostly dry. But likely black ice in the am for those who must go out to watch for. Thankfully, we don't!

I don't know what's up with those numbers, but they're always wrong. At least it tells us we're getting snow, but that .6 inch total was more like 3". Makes me worry about the higher totals for the coming days. We're going to our daughters house on Friday thru Sat. morning and it looks like we'll be between 2 storms, at least I hope that's the way it'll work out.

Out here any such numbers are for the "official" weather site unless specified as other, e.g. "outlying areas", foothills, or specific town / cities. And even then, going a mile a way could be significantly different, either way.

Same thing for the weather around here. We're between the mountains and the sea so the storm doesn't have to track much at all to the east or west to totally change what we get around here.

Snow finally made it here, started about 9:30 yesterday am, slow and steady since. Only a bit over 4" here atm, supposed to taper off during the daylight then come back for round two, of maybe another 8.

Cats are not happy.

No snow forecast for today, but then every day for the next week. Sheesh!

Lucky for us we didn't get the grapple that was forecast. Pretty much whatever was already wet froze and it's going to 40 this afternoon so we're good at the moment. Some places around us got encased in a coating of ice, but it's not too bad. Whew!

Yep. We've had some bad ice storms over the years, one that left us in the dark for nearly a week, so much damage to the system. Yesterday's outage of about 6 hours wasn't too bad compared to what many others are dealing with!

More snow atm, they claim it won't be as much. We'll see :)

Hey @DavidOck , stop sending your snow our way! We got about 4" this morning and then sleet for the next 2 hours. It's stopped now, but we're to have more bands of snow and sleet later today and through the night.

29 Days until Spring!
And while you're at it David, give me another 10 degrees F.

Good morning. Our high today is only going to be 37, but then the long range forecast is for temps in the 40s and 50s. One day even showed 60 degrees! Yep, yep, yep, Spring is only 17 days away!!! And isn't it great when the daylight hours get longer and longer?
