With the polished version they state that it holds more liquid and has a shorter mouth piece, the knurled part must be machined smaller because they look to be the same size tanks

Hmm interesting.. Did not see that but will now investigate more (hopefully, wife is on a tirade about the vapemail lately ;)

I broke down and ordered some long mode tanks and mouth pieces from Rampage Vapor today.
My excuse?
I use cotton wick material and the small capacity would always catch me of guard and dry cotton burns...
Also Poldiac coming so, what the Hell, I want more capacity.

I'm going to give you a pass on this one because your new to this type of atty. ;) Let me fill you in on how these bad boys work. First you need at least 3 of them. Second you need as many different configurations as possible. C don't ever feel guilty about buying high end vape gear. These Odys are such a great vape, the capacity must be increased.:)

I also have a Poldiac on the way!! Polished the whole way except pants and shirt. Did you see the pics in the DID thread today???

Since the Penelope is just a scaled down Oddy I will put this here, it is the way that I intend to set up my Terminators in the next couple of days. I'll just link the video, here:

I've done this earlier today on one Penelope and really like it,
I'd guess at 25-30 threads for version 1 ceramic

Just a heads up that setup does not last 1/4 of the time that a silica setup lasts. It cant be dry burned. A silica setup can be washed (while still setup in atty), dried, dry burned, and its as good as new. With my buddy Quigsworths setup in the vid, when its time to clean, its time to rebuild. The setup tastes great tho

This is how I run my Penelope (the video), I use 2.5 mm lilly's sugar and cream 4ply cotton yarn now currently in the terminator. Lasts a long time if kept wet. I use diy mostly VG juices with perfumers apprentice flavors. I love the flavor and don't get that prickly silica feeling.

Can someone help me out? I'm getting a bit of leaking with the Terminator from Stormys. Whenever I put it on a mod and apply pressure to the center connector, it always gets really gurgely. Is there a way to fix this? I'm not cranking them down super tight and I still get a gurgle. I tightened down the juice control and blew it out into a napkin with the unit held upside down and it stopped the gurgle when it was off my device but when I put it back on it gurgles. I've also cleaned the 510 fitting on my mod and it still gurgles. It gets juice in it to the point of it flooding and then I get no vapor at all. <--- This is with the juice control closed. It floods with the jc down tight.
Thanks,
D

thats covered in this thread somewhere. has to do with your setup. not like a flooded cart. i had the same problem but right now i'm trying to figure out the best wick material. hope that helps

There's a possibility that the very bottom o-ring where the positive post seals in the bottom of the base is leaking.
Perhaps the ceramic housing assembly isn't screwed tightly enough into the base, is the positive post out past the threads on the 510 connection? Is the positive post way off center?

These all have a slight flooding problem due to the way that the ground wire causes the locking ring and mouthpiece to tilt ever so slightly but this is usually minor and generally happens when you start using it after just having it open for refilling ect.

so from what i gather the best choice for wick material would be the XS116 from Omega. with the exception of cutting the length i really dont want a material i have to mod to use. in the mean time i'll do a setup with my kanthal 32 ga and silver nr wire and cotton yarn wick. my other setups were with the kanthal and cotton only. kept getting high ohm readings around 3.5. the flavor was good but had low vapor production. my device is a provari v2.

@ John333 I could be wrong but I think as far as how it works (the cotton) is going to be way better than the nextel, the nextel is just going to last and last.
For me it doesn't matter if I can dry burn it because I prefer to just make another wick/coil, silica, cotton what ever, it's just too easy to do another one.
The non resistor wire is of most importance regardless of what some are posting otherwise.

First, thanks to everyone that's posted in this thread about the Terminator builds. I got a Terminator-C in today and I'm very happy with it. Got it put together with the only hassle of having a short that was quickly rectified.

Anyway, I used the 2.0 mm silica wick that I got from Stormy's...and it seems like the right fit. However, I've seen several mentions of the silica wick that 'doolak' has available on eBay and it seems to be recommended. I see that it is speced at 3 mm, but also that it is fluffy. Will this fit the Terminator-C's channel in the ceramic without destranding it?

@ Hock A Lugie, so what you have, is it hollow in the center?
I guess that I should have checked the link before I asked

Sorry dwcraig1 I have been really bizy the last few days. But to answer your question no it doesnt have a hollow center it is just braided. I have tried the nextel xc116 and this stuff is more flexable and works better for wicks IMO? If you buy it get as much as you can afford because when he runs out there is no telling how long it will be before he has more bcuz people are catching on to this stuff and when enough do it will be out of stock fast and I have only seen him on ebay twice now! Hope that helps you out:)
