My Big Bad Dangerous Pit Bull hides under my computer desk with me!! :)

I told my Pit Bull a few times he dont stand a chance at being a big bad dangerous killer dog since he has to sleep in the bed with us, he lays around all day snoring on the couch and he cant go to bed unless he has his scobby doo doll with him.

Could be a million-dollar idea here.... tiny little device, smaller than an MP3 player, plays crashing cracking booming LOUD thunder - The Pitbull Repellant -- turns a frothing at the mouth rampaging pitbull into a whimpering infant! :D

Someone hurry up and invent that, PLEASE.

ROFLMAO!!!!!

You can also add options for sirens, beeps (failed attempt at an invisible fence) and backfiring lawnmowers. That would send mine drooling and shivering into a corner :D

My 80-lb Belgian Malinois is also terrified of storms. He becomes a lap dog. If it storms at night, he somehow manages to get UNDER my bed. Then he shakes, vibrating the whole bed.

And you don't even need a quarter!!!!!!

The missus asked if I would mind us getting another pup and showed me a picture of this adorable puppy. I said sure and then she told me it was a pit and I said no way. I will not have a killer dog in my house and put my foot down on that one!, A few weeks later he made 6 weeks and she brought him home . He has changed my whole outlook on Pits. I have never had a sweeter dog or one who grins like an idiot when I walk inside just because he is so happy I am there. Not a mean bone in his body, unless I try to take his bone away and then he is ferocious and want to kill papa (me). When I get home from my two week work rotation I cant sleep that first day. As soon as the missus heads off to work he runs to where i am and starts kissing me until I wake up. Soon as i doze off again he is back to kissing me. Cant get mad because I know he is doing it because he missed me badly when i was gone so we will get up and go to the couch and doze off with him cuddling me.

Cats are terrified of it too -- as soon as there's a distant faint rumble of thunder, off she goes, tail between her legs, to the "cave" under my husband's bed. Of course, she also does that when the doorbell rings. Or even a doorbell on TV. :D

I have cats. They don't seem bothered a bit. I've had lots of cats over the years (I have four now), and about the biggest reaction I've ever seen is that they might wake up, look around, and go back to sleep after a particularly large thunderclap.

Never understood why cats don't freak out at loud noises like dogs do. I've even seen cats sleep in front of the speakers when the stereo was blaring. However, Bogart (my current avatar), runs out of the basement music room if I pick up a guitar...

Sounds like she's a shy one. I've had a couple of those over the years. They're usually very attached to one human, and might even seem scared of any other humans.

Oh, she's TERRIFIED of other humans, except for my husband and myself -- she runs away and hides! She was a stray, abandoned before she was 3 months old, and from what I learned in "The Cat Whisperer," that means she was never properly "socialized." She likes us because we feed her, obviously. :D

I'm gonna probably open up a big ol' can of worms, but Pits aren't evil - it's evil people who make them evil. It breaks my heart to see any animal baited, tormented, taught hate (and this includes HUMANS). Journey can act the part when she wants, but she's really a big ol' couch-potato. Normally, it's about 2-3 minutes of hair-raised barking but most of the time her tail is waggling so hard that she's twisting left and right. Then, there's the occasional "I'm so excited to see you piddle".

Yeah, I hate that dog fighters have gave Pit Bulls such a bad name... Its all about how their raised, as is any dog... Also Iv noticed my Pitts have Separation Anxiety and hate when your asleep, which leads to them waking you up lol

I have had 3 or 4 dogs at a time my entire life, many dogs and not one afraid or even concerned by thunder.
Perhaps you need a new amp.

It comes from the owners. My missus was in a trailor maybe 20 years ago where a tornado picked it up and set it back down 6 foot away. She gets been real anxious during bad weather ever since and the pets picked it from her.

I 99% agree with you. However I have noticed that many pits are excitable and once wound up are nearly uncontrollable and since they are generally very strong can be dangerous.
But yes the owners that make pits mean should be put to sleep. Sorry but I have no tolerance for mean useleless humans.
