We can make something work. I will get one of my lady friends to take a bunch of the xc-116 and braid them into bracelets and necklaces. The whole sleeving(not taken apart), I think that would be just fine :). Just unbraid it and cut to size and vape away!

Hmmm, maybe export controlled in a large quantity. I wonder if that would hold true for being controlled in an assembly. For example, precut to specific lengths (2.5") or already made into coils?

Export controlled means export controlled, quantity is not a factor. In my job in the Army we were trained on it, and in my current job for an international company we get it drilled into us every couple months.

Chances of getting caught using small amounts, no idea. Effect of getting caught, not worth it.

From my research it's export ban falls under the US defense Department's information and technology export ban... bad juju if you get caught... 10 years in prison, and a $1,000,000 fine. For a wick it isn't worth the risk. That's just the punishment for sending it, no telling what it is for receiving it. I don't want to speculate on that.

Poppa, how would you feel about comparing all XS, XC4, against XC? and sharing the info with Imeo?
I've been hoping to find somebody willing to do this.

Sure, I'm interested in the materials we use.

I'll need a second iatty sooner than I thought, lol.

Womblebat, good find.

It's amazing how hard a person will search when one door slams shut hard :)

Little bit more info on the XS-116, it's rated at 982 degrees C (1800 F) continuous, how does this compare to the ceramic sleeve? i'm assuming by the very nature of ceramic, the ceramic will handle a lot more heat

Just got off the phone with Omega. I wasn't able to get any real, new info that isn't online, but the tech verified that The XS has a completely different type of molecular structure from the XC and XC4..

I should have called 3M earlier... but i'll look around for a technical notebook on XS.
