blow out.... fresh juice...

I actually rinsed it off if hot water and soaked it in alcohol overnight. Rinsed off the alcohol this morning and set it in front of a fan for an hour. No change.

I'm not pushing the limits, am I? 1.5ohm on a 3.7v Riva 510. That's not "too much" for the juice, is it? Hmmm. That doesn't even make sense to me now that I've typed it.

It's truly the taste I associate with needing more juice...

Okay, I admit it; I haven't read every post it this thread, but I have perused it pretty well and I need some advice.

When I got my 1.5ohm io6, I had trouble at first getting a hit w/o at least a little of the 'empty/electric/metal' taste on my throat. This is the same taste I get on my 1.5 ohm XLR atty when it needs more juice, but much stronger. After a day or two, it finally went away and I had a great day of vaping. Now it's back. I've dripped until it's running out the air holes and I've rolled it around and held it upside down doing my best to get everything in there coated with juice and I still get this taste.

I've tried 'cold hitting' and rinsed it under hot water, too.

I am out of ideas.

Advice?

Could be the atty defective. Ive never had that issues with many io6s. if a few drops in the drip tip and blowing out as MW said and re priming doesn't work get order another one.. They have worked great for me with no issues. I know what you are talking about and Ive had that happen before with an atty or two that was just not working correctly or was bad to begin with.

what juice?
Been testing it w/ IKV Tobacco. I also vape a lot of Chinese juices to which I add some VG, making it probably about 1/3 VG. I realized that if the juice isn't causing the same problem in the 1.5ohm XLR then it's not the juice (I think).

Today I learned that Watts = volts X volts / ohms. Neat.

get another
bummer. Oh well. Ike threw it into my order, anyhow. I think because I mistakenly ordered a drip-tip for it.

Pyro12,

You may have just gotten a fluke, like Doots said, my Beta i06 lasted well over 100 days with not one cleaning. I like to have a nice stock of Atty's that I like and not worry about one of it should go bad or I get a bad one which can happen for sure. Order some new ones and VAPE ON ;-)

just paid for my pre-sale i06 d/t at Theecig.com.... Pyrex baby!
I didn't even check when they are ready. Alls I know's is they are taking your money and it's a pre-sale.
I do biz with John at Theecigs regularly and I insist on Pyrex for dripping, so i have them for 510/901, 306, and now the i06!.

Can we please make a list of ALL drip tips that will work on this atty.
Does a 306 cannon fit?
Does a 510 tip work?

Here in australia we need drip tips but no one wants to pay $15 shipping for $2 drip tips.

What have you tried besides the standard io6 delrins?
If you take the insert off a 306 will it fit?

What size tip is needed for it to work?

The io6 is not compatible with any 306 drip tip. While the io6 resembles a 306, it is not the same size. Currently the only tips that work with the io6 are sold by Isaac. Silhouette and Delrin. John @ theecig.com is working on a pyrex version of an io6 tip - as well as another vendor working on another... but that is all for now.

Another option is to use the barrel of a 510 atomizer and slide it over the io6 (using teflon tape to make it secure) and then stick a 510 drip tip on the 510 barrel.

Hope this helps.

hey Loft, et al,
since we're on the Iken sub forum, do you know if the 808 iken carto is tank-able? I'd like to try them but only use cartos in tanks.

anyone know when the Fusion SR's are back in stock?

Man, love the Fusion in a tank... it makes me want to give up fiddling with rebuildable attys. I get awesome vapes with the Fusion tanked.

I have been vaping for 9 months and still don't know what I am doing. I only drip, will the i06 be a good addition to my joyego? I can only vap vg and taste seems to diminish fairly quickly. I need an atomizer that will work with my favorite liquid VG Red Energy (redbull) from Liberty-Flights.

Please help a novice.
go with a 1.8 LR i06... with the eGo it is killer for dripping.

just follow the instructions that many give here for priming.
