Yes sir! the 1.8 on an ego is a total win. When I'm not on the 1.5 Reo Grande, the 1.8 on an ego is my all time fave, it's easy on the batteries and smooth on the deliver. I roughly get 6-8 hours on the set up. Using an io6 can't be any more simpler, add about 3-4 drops, (when the dt is attached) wait about a minute for the juices to soak, then fire away and drip as needed. The io6 itself is a very conservative atty, 2-3 drops will take you a long way. If it ever gurgles, your adding too much and the liquid isn't getting vaporized evenly. If you do find yourself flooding it, just detach from the battery and blow out (preferably in the garbage
) and restart with 2 drops. 
Are you going to make up some sleeves for tank usage for these? Its a hassle making them myself.......

It can be done though with the black V1 io6 DT straight barrel...Hmm, it would have to be small....Let me get back to you on that one. 
very interesting... I was just thinking about the sleeve from a 510 atty as a barrel that would work for adding your own 510/910 d/t, as someone mentioned earlier... preferably pyrex (as an alternate to the new Theecig. pyrex i06 dt),Lol well if you want to distribute some over here, that'll be pretty cool
...AND as a fit for the new notcig VVPV.
This baby is coming out soon, and unless Buzz has made a different d/t-tube attachment for the top feed, i'm sure something can be easily worked for that use with the i06.
I mean the i06 really gets some good flavor and vapor especially dripped fresh you know, and the VVPV is a top feed; get it?
i06 when it's freshly broken in and matched with the right volts (or watts) is a new level of "yeah baby!" and the VVPV gives you that top feed without constantly dripping.
So I will be looking for a way to cut some sleeves from some attys which fit over the i06.
The problem is the diameter is what, 8.2mm and the inside diameter of the sleeves (at least the ones I have) are around 8.8mm -- if there was even an insert that would make this gap up it'd be awesome. Even better would be some fins 10mm long at the bottom at 1/4 points to provide grip....

Well I finally received it and put the drip tip on an placed about 4 drops of vg and waited. Nasty! Took off the drip tip and placed a few drops directly on the i06, WOW! Amazing puff of vapor came out. The first two rips are great, than the taste diminishes. I place another couple of drops and let it sit (which I hate waiting) and get a good first vape with nice vapor and taste then it diminishes again. Place a couple of more drops.........now with the sticky fingers, it leaks! Obviously I am putting too much juice in and it gargles.

Liberty-Flights VG, I have a Joy Ego I have no clue what voltage it uses, I bought the 1.8 as suggested for the Ego.
I just found a quick and dirty solution as a drip tip on my io6. I broke my silhouette (the $2 one from Iken) when it got stuck on my io6. I found that the drip tip (Delrin I think) that comes w/an Iken 801 mini atomizer will fit over the io6 and is vapable. I think w/a little judicious sanding on the inside a regular 801 (hard plastic) just might fir an io6 also.

The 1.5 io6 on a Reo w/an AW IMR battery is the best vape I have ever had and that includes dripping. I have looked long and hard for my "huckleberry" vape and I do believe I have finally found it. As a long time confirmed dripper I can't believe how good this vape is on a bottom feeder.

I have dripped directly onto the atomizer and still the flavor diminishes fairly quickly.
I'm sorry to hear that. How many hits are you getting before the flavor diminishes? And if you're using an eGo, typically they're going to be either 3.2v or 3.7v with PWM (I believe, I don't use 'em) but either voltage should be fine with a 1.8ohm atty.

I'm not trying to down the product at all, but would like to know if its just the unit that I have or am I doing something wrong?
What a nightmare! It sounds like you definitely got a bad one there. Are you allergic to PG based liquids? Do you always use VG bases?
Ok let's try something, start fresh, lets blow out the atty. Drip about 3 drops in to the DT, then give it a little 'pack' as if your 'packing' a pack of ciggs. Just tap it 3 times to send the juice forward.

I've found that some i06's might need breaking in.
I have quite a few on tap in the last few weeks and they are firing fabulously. It took a while now that i think about it.
Could be just me, but overall, keep the juice level down imo, to keep the vapor production high. If it's too harsh, put just a tiny bit more at a time, until the flavor is right.
I have the luxury of VV and with a Provari, checking the resistance to give a heads up on what voltage range to use.
I don't believe you have a dud. As Uke stated some do require a little breaking in which is not uncommon with most atties. What is uncommon is for most atties to be broken in right OOTB. I have learned this the hard way -- popping atties by forcing them to behave. My latest SR IO6 took 1.5-2 days to properly break in, and now gags me. A little patience goes along way
Okay so here goes. This atomizer i got is just a total beast. I had an epic-fail class event happen with one of my devices. Of course it had to be the device with my only I06 3.5 that I had. I was changing out the batteries on my prodigy v3 when the spring flew out.. sure enough buttertoes goes and steps on it. I straighened it out what i thought at the time was good enough. Evidently I was wrong. It was fine up until when i set it on my computer desk. the tap of it hitting the desk was enough for the spring to rub up against the inside of the device, activating the atomizer. It must have been on for a decent amount of time, since i noticed the smell from cross the room. I zoomed over to my desk, yanked the drip tip off, and quickly unscrewed the bottom of the V3, ending the connection. (I swear any hotter and the drip tip would have been at the melting stage) Most excitement ive ever had since I started vaping. After I let the atomizer cool off, I inspected it... appeared fine, though the nichrome coil is now a nice black color vs the shiny silver color it was when i got it.
BUT IT STILL WORKS!!
Now all juices i put in this atomizer has a smokey...taste.. but its not metallic burnt taste. At least not that I can detect. Hopefully it goes away and continues to perform until i can get more
I have since properly repaired the spring on my V3 while i'm waiting on ordering some replacements if possible. (just in case you were worried! Though I doubt it.) I'll be watching this device like a hawk from now on.. I've since got into the habit of unscrewing my atomizers a quarter turn while not in use or in my pocket.
