1. got my i06 ss Sleeve from Gratefulvaper.com ... thanks Wharf... epic WIN! ---nice fit at the base of the i06; it's turned in slightly at the base so no leaks, and the other way slightly at the tip for easy d/t fit.

2. Brand new LR 1.8 i06 came today too... no bad flavor at all... it might have been the Iken d/t which in this case not using due to gv i06 sleeve.

hard to beat in the world of atomizers.

agree... fwiw, 3.5 is considered SR for some 510's .... go back in time and 3.0 was SR for 3.7 PVs.
If you are talking true 3.7v that's higher than most 3.7 PV's which are more like 3.4v or even less. So yeah 1.8 Ohm i06 will be a little toasty at true 3.7v
As always, different strokes for different folks, After much experimentation at 3.7v, I have decided I like the I06 2.5 better than the 1.8. It may be because I vape menthol. But 1.8 just seems to get too hot for me. Love there 2.5's though!

Well a few months ago I was able to simplify and go with one juice (70/30 pg/vg) and one atty (2.5 i06) For me the world is a much better place :)

Finally learned how to drip... this 2.5 i06 I am using will be 2 months old in a few days! Since I only use one juice, it is the only atty I have used the entire time. I vape 1.5-2 ml a day at about 4.2v

I am so content, I'm afraid to change anything about my setup, but I sure do want to order one of those Sleeve's Wharf...most likely break down and do so. I know it will be great since the best things are born of Love and I know how much you love 'em too Wharf. Thanks!

You'll love the i06 Sleeve from GratefulVapers.com chris,

- the i06 always has had an asterisk by it in my book just because I couldn't drip on it without taking the d/t off or gerry-rigging a make-shift d/t for it. No more.

The i06 sleeve is so good imo that it just feels (works) and looks right for the atty.
(i don't have any commercial interest in i06 sleeve)

Maybe one of you guru's can explain this. My wife and I have been using IO6s since December and I have seen them decrease in ohms as they age but I have a 3.5 ohm IO6 that is now reading at 4.0 ohms. This is the 1st time I've seen one go up.

Typically certain juices will gunk up the wick/coil thus adding resistance within the circuit. Usually applies to VG and/or dark juices, and juices with a higher content of sugar/sweetener.

The io6 line lasts forever. I've been using the same one since October (first 2.5ohm I purchased) and I run it at 11 watts consistently, vaping anywhere from 3ml-5ml per day through it. Once this one goes I am going to have it cremated and have a little urn made for it... LOL

Pssst... there might be a longer lasting io6 in the works. If I can convince Isaac to do it. Muahahaha

Loft,

What's the best way to clean out an atomizer? I fairly new to vaping and extremely new to dripping; I don't want to break anything. I did blow out both the Cannon and i06 atomizers I have but....

Rinsing with warm water won't harm? I don't know if it's an option, but I don't want to be taking anything apart 'cuz I won't be able to get it back together.

Thanks Loft!

I have the same question as well as a couple of my own. I just ordered my first couple of i06's. I ordered the 2.5 ohm and have a lavatube. I am new to dripping and have only been vaping about 3 months. I had tried tons of 510's and never liked it so I always used Boge cartos but would have to toss them after a day or 2 which gets very expensive when you are vaping 3 flavors or more at a time. Not to mention there are 2 of us vaping so it's 2ce as much money. I received my first Boge 306 the other day and absolutely loved it. From everything I've been reading I heard the i06's were even better so I thought I'd try them. On a VV device should I be using 2.5 ohm? With cartos I've always used 3 so I wasn't sure which I should order.
I also wanted to know how long they should last if you are vaping 4-5 ML a day. Also is it best to have a different atty for each flavor or kind of flavor such as sweet, fruity, etc.? also how often should I clean them and like the OP how? Thanks:vapor:

Don't think it's the juice(s) as it's the same juice I've been using for months and it hasn't effected any of my other IO6's like this. BUT - I'll tell you what I learned, just like an atty that starts to drop in ohms it's likely a precursor to "bye-bye atty". Today it just stopped working - arrrgh! The Provari shows it as 'open' / 'no circuit'. Oh well, break out another.

I'm gun-shy of cleaning them. I had 4 I was using for almost 3 months. A lot of ml's was vaped with them and switching flavors too. I thought I'd be good to them and give them a cleaning. I soaked them overnight in vodka, then blew them out real good, let them dry, then primed them and started using them again. I didn't dry burn them. Within 3 days, 3 of them died. Co-incidence or a result of the vodka bath - I don't know but I'm not cleaning any more of them. I just blow them out occasionally and back to vaping.

re:eek:hms and flavors

The IO6, for me, is good for switching flavors. But most of my flavors have a tobacco base flavor. When I switch to a non-tobacco flavor, some of the tobacco taste does linger, but I don't mind that. My sense of taste is not real good anyway so it doesn't bother me. For awhile I used one IO6 for my tobacco flavors and another for my fruit flavors - it worked better as far as taste was concerned.

I usually have one Provari topped with a 2.5 ohm I06 and the other with a 3.5 ohm At 2.5 ohms I'm set at 4.1/4.2 volts and at 3.5 ohms 4.8/4.9 volts. I do not notice a significant difference between them but would give a slight edge to the 2.5 ohm at 4.1 volts. You really need to try it yourself, experiment a bit and see what you prefer.

To be honest, I don't clean my atomizers. At most - I'll blow them out thoroughly and reprime. That being said, there are several ways that others clean them. The most common is... hot water rinse and dry burn. Followed by soaking in alcohol for X amount of time. If I were to recommend either of them, I would recommend soaking them in vodka for 30 minutes, lightly move the atomizer around to break free any stuck particles, and soak for another 30 minutes. Dry burning may work, but can dramatically shorten the life of your atomizer by causing the coil to stretch/warp/come in contact with other parts of the coil causing a short and also weaken solder/adhesive points.
