I really want these to work and I've tried all of your suggestions, but even with 4 different juices I still get an acrid vape that has left me with a very sore throat. I've dry burned, rinsed, boiled, adjusted the alignment of the tank, used different voltage batteries, tried different tanks, and still the same result. The best I can get out of these is one ok vape (still harsh) followed by a minimum of 45 second pause to allow it to re-prime. I got two Turbines. The only thing I should mention is that one of the Turbines arrived with the bottom connector plug hanging out. I pushed it back in and it works, but that wouldn't explain why both burn to the point that I'm reluctant to try anything else out of fear of another harsh attack on my throat. Is there anything left to try? Is it possible that the two I got were not up to snuff? I like this idea and look enough to try anything else you suggest.

Update on my experience with the Turbine.

Well now I guess the atty for the Turbine has quit working.

Last night I soaked it in hot water brought to a boil. I then soaked it for about an hour in vodka. This was after I had tried it, (brand new without initial alteration) and was getting an acrid/chemical taste and very little vapor. I was using my fav juice, waffles from TastyVapor. Another thing I noticed last night when I was working with the Turbine and watching the videos with Chris, was that I was getting no where near the volume of vapor he was getting in the videos. I could "just" see my vapor, whereas Chris was blowing out volumes that obstructed him from the camera. I watched the video on how to orientate the tank to the atty and had that part right.

In trying to get rid of the acrid/chemical taste (this morning) I rinsed it out under very hot water in the sink and dried it off and blew out as much water as I could. I then did a dry burn. It took several blasts for it to decide to start to turn orange. While the element was burning off whatever it had on it I could smell that same acrid/chemical that I believe I had been tasting. I set my Provari (at 3.7v) down to let the element cool and came back to it about 10 minutes later. I then found that the atty wouldn't fire at all and now appears dead. I verified the deadness using a continuity tester.

Don't believe I want to spend another $18 to test this out any further. Was kind of excited too.

Isn't that just special? You win some, you lose some.

I've been holding off on reviewing the Turbine I received this past Thursday. I tried using the Turbine on my BombShell Mod. My 510 extension did not work. So I tried my 510/801 - 801/510 adapters, it didn't work. Then I put it on my eGo battery, Bingo it worked. I primed the atty before vaping, but after drawing for a second or two, I got a dry burn. I pulled the cart out and put it back in. Turned it upside down. Again, I was only able to vape for a second or two before getting the dry burn. I put it down for a few hours and tried it again. Still the same issue. I left it alone until Friday. Tried it again, same issue. I just felt that if I could get it to work on my mod, I might get a better vape. I emailed Got vapes,:

"I'm having Turbine problems. The Turbine works on my ego battery, but when
I try to use it with my 510 extension or 501/801 - 801/510 adapter on my mod
it doesn't work. Is your 510 extension the same item as your 510 battery to
501 atomizer that you sell on the Turbine ordering site? I am so frustrated
at this point I could scream. Please send help now!! LOL"

Saturday I get a reply email from Daniel:

"One of the main problems that people might have with something like this is
airflow...don't give up! Check to make sure you have good airflow around the
threading. How was it working on your ego battery?"

Did he even read my email to him??? Airflow wasn't even mentioned in my email and I stated in the second sentence that it worked on my ego. No response to my question about the 510 extension or adapters!!!

Saturday afternoon I was able to pull the pin in the Turbine atty out enough to get it to work with the adapters. The vape was much better on my mod vaping at 5 volts. But when I took the Turbine atty off to check to make sure I wasn't getting leaking and put it back on, it didn't work. I had to pull the pin back out again. The pin is too loose in the atty. I demised that the problem I was having with the eGo is because it's not making a good connection with the battery and its not making any connection with the extension or adapters.

When I was able to get it to work with my Mod, the flavor was good, the vapor was good (TH not my thing so I can't comment on that) and I was overall pleased with the Turbine. But, the pin in the atty is a huge issue because it not usable. The email response I got from Got Vapes, well I don't even know what to say about that!!!!

Despite my sour experience with the Turbine and Got Vapes, I did order the Voltex. My fingers and toes are crossed, hoping for a much better experience.

I gave a general caveat about airflow because that is what we are seeing as the main issue. We are working with the manufacturer and mentioning that some of the atomizer pins seem loose...but airflow can still be an issue with an extender. This is because, as badkolo followed up in his video, you need to double check insertion of the tank into the atomizer and check to make sure the airflow column in the tank is lined up with the air flow allowance within the atomizer.

You said it 'Bingo' about an ego working so I was wanting further info, like was it pleasant, were you getting what you expected, were you satisfied, etc? It was just a very friendly question to give me further information.

Well...Im not to happy right now... I got my turbine on Friday and after a day of trying to get it to work properly,I finally got it to work. I used it all day Saturday and Sunday without any issues...Then bam... I Had just pulled my Ego battery off the charger and put my turbine on and the light on my Ego started blinking... I just got it off the charger so it wasnt uncharged... I tryed to vape it but nothing...then tried my turbine on another battery and nothing. Then tried to use my ego battery with a normal 510 atty and nothing...I just bought this ego a week ago.

Well it seems the silicone gasket that holds the center pin of the atty from making contact with the outer shell of the atty ripped without me knowing and when i tried to use my defective turbine on my ego the center post not being isolated caused my ego to fry. Now Im without a Turbine and without a ego.

The silicone gasket in the turbine is thin and cheap...Thats why peoples posts are falling out. When it was working...it was working well...But at $11.95 a pop for 2 days of use and a fried battery...Just a waest of money.... Not happy...Not happy at all :(

Hello everyone, I got 2 of these Friday. I got a lot of vapor right off the bat, but it wasn't tasting like my juice at all. Went through a half a tank, all I got was a sore throat and taste that turned my stomach. I also got what I felt was a generic response from Daniel about airflow. I felt like my email was not really read either because there was no mention of the other issues with the extender. Been trying these on various mods at 3.7 volts with fittings simular to stick style. No air flow problems for me except for air leaking in around the tank. If I sort of tailpipe it with the tank in place, I get more vapor which still taste terrible. Picked up one a while ago tried and got nothing, then put it on a box mod with no overload circiut. apparently the turbine had shorted, which cause the wires in my mod to fry. So far these are mounting up to my bigest disapointment in my history of vaping. I'm glad some are having better luck. I may keep trying with the one I have left.

We are workign through email...I don't see you on video and I am not sure who you are but you may have described what you are speaking of now and of course I am going to talk about airflow. This can be the number one reason why the vape is not good for you. There can be airflow problems around the threads and there could be airflow issues on insertion of the tank into the atty - we solved several issues with vapers who had found out that by loosening the threading or using an extender with their particular PV, solved some of these issues including clarifying how the tank was inserted into the atty. I was throwing that out to you doing the best I could working blindly through an email.

This sort of an item can be more diffcult to work with than say a CE2...there could be alot of different reasons why a person isn't getting satisfaction and can even include using a low ohm atty (this is a 2.1) with a device that is not meant for it. I really do try my best with suggestions and if you need a follow-up I am there for that too.

great post dan but at the same time I do take offence when i hear things like, FAIL or worst failure in vaping history.

i looked around ecf and all i see is people having issues with almost every carto or new atty device out there yet they still buy those, i see people complaining about the ego-t and there is 100 mod videos to try to get it to work properly, but we introduce a new device and when it happens to not work for a few people it all of the sudden becomes the worst device ever made, the other 200 people that sent us thank you letters seem to think its a great product. So while im not doubting some people are having issues I do find it wierd that with all the other devices out there now that are popular and barely work those get a pass while obviously on video the TURBINE works, I still havent seen a video of anyone back to back vaping a ego-t yet succesfully.

the wierder thing is the ones with popping turbines causing mods to die all seem to come from experienced vapors, yet others are working just fine for 5 days now for a butload of people including tons of newbs. 22 turbines here on 6 different types of mods, not one issue yet except for a popped turbine which i caused by taking it to the limit on its third dry burn. This isnt to say that some don't have issues as it does seem some may be doa and we will honor those. This can happen for a number of reasons and we are looking into the cause. Some may have performance issues, some of those are do to not using the unit properly and for those people We hope that the videos or tips in the thread can get you passed those and there will always be some people who simply have a unit that isnt working properly just like any other product on the market. SO we fully understand this.

BY THE WAY from this point on I will delete posts that start off with "" this is fail"" or anything pertaining to how the turbine is the worst thing ever made( take that nonsense to another vendor) or how bad it sucks, because they have been tested and we will keep stocking these and if there are issues we will do what we can to work them out with the factory but we will not tolerate the rudeness.

I made videos of how they perform(videos dont lie), all of a sudden the majority of those complaints just stopped , so now it seems certain people will try to find other issue since they cant say it doesnt perform, This doesnt pertain to all our great customers but to a very select few people. IT WILL NOT BE TOLERATED ANY FURTHER

MANY ON ECF attempted these tactics with the ce2 and while they had issues at start many realized how great they where and how they could become once the issues where worked out and look at them now, unstoppable and loved by so many.

Chris did TWO videos and both included vape-offs. This is rarely seen by any vendor. We have went through these ...all together about 20, one after another to try to replicate any problems that may be encountered and we were stoked because each one we mounted and vaped, right of the box, performed amazing well. TWENTY of them in a row and then Dave from VapeTalk bought one out of his own pocket so he could give the most objective review possible.

He got on cam and unwrapped it right on video, filled it and then vaped. He was extremely pleased and excited about what he got out of the box and did a follow up the next day to let everyone get an update about how it went on an all day trip and reported back on his second video. Dave from VapeTalk is one of the best most objective reviewers out there and he speaks his MIND (go to his channel one time and see for yourself) and this is why he reviewed it OUT OF THE BOX. He didn't prep it, have several false starts, etc. He reviewed OUT OF THE BOX.

Now, here is forum etiquette. If you yourself are having trouble with a particular piece of equipment you are welcome/ENCOURAGED to come here and discuss but as Chris reiterated don't be rude about it. "Hey I just got these and am having a bit of trouble and I wanted to compare notes and see if I can get a little help.." Not to come in OUR forum and disparage the owner and say "i don't think he read my email blah blah blah...my worst experience in my vaping history (with all of 6 posts just bouncing out of the newbie area?)". This is highly suspicious and Chris remains on troll patrol.

Thank you Amy for your kind words.

We are here, we are not going away, we are here every day and will always be here. It really seems as if some people would like that not to be the case, but atlas , i promise that wont happen. Others simply have lost the comprehension of the word etiquette .
The last time I checked this is a ADULT site only.

Like i have said we work tirelessly on finding the newest things and brining them to the public.
We dont buy things and just sell them, we test them and go through a whole process, yes issues arrise but we do what we say.

We could have easily introduced 6 other never before seen product and they would have all sold instantly, BUT WE WILL NEVER DO THAT, I have purchased $1000 for each of product from 6 different vendors of never before seen stuff and they sucked , I took the box, placed it in a black bag and tossed it in the garbage, thats how much we care.

I will show you one of the unseen flops but i wont show them all, im not doing hard work for others but if other vendors would like to know what to stay way from they can contact me and ill be more then happy to inform them.

here is one flop that could have sold a buttload. its a knock off of a maximizer(giantomizer) they are trying to sell to vendors at 3 times the price literally, issues galore.

p.s. no i do not work for gotvapes :) had to say that loololololololol

Hi, Guys ... I posted a couple times this past weekend, received two Turbines and had been having issues with leaking, juice in mouth, etc. Just wanted to state it looks like the issues are resolved, both attys are working, will have to be careful how I align stuff to prevent leaks, etc. There's obviously a learning curve with these. I'm going to try filling these with a different 50/50 juice today, as the only issue (if you can call it that) that remains is one of taste ... really can't taste any flavor (supposed to be Orange Crush), and the hits do seem dry ... but in all honesty, I can't say for sure this is Turbine related. Plenty of vapor, just feels dry and tasteless. I'm going to try something with more flavor punch, but if you have any additional tips to help boost the flavor, I'll be happy to try them. Love the juice capacity of these, just what I was hoping for. I am using them on ego battery and an ego passthrough.

as they kick in, the taste should eventually punch in, they take a breaking in period before full flavor is released. we noticed this alot. Thank you for your feedback.

like most tank systems with this feeding method, you can stick a needle down in the wick area of the atomizer, do not push it in but you can move it around, adjusting it ever so slightly to see if that helps with getting more flavor. Like in my video though I did notice if i shed them out well, let it dry and gave them short burst dry burns nand not letting it get overly hot, not to much as to not pop a atty. then fill and add 2 drops to atomizer itself and then reseat the tank and vape and get it going.

After a year of buying the latest and greatest for our PV's from many vendors, my wife and I know that our chances for success are greatly increased when we buy from you. Not everything works the way we wish it would but that is often times related to the juice we're using or how much I love to chain vape(working on that). I know when we have issues I can email you and you'll do your best to help resolve any issue we have, Sometimes it works out, sometimes not. We're grown ups here and appreciate your hard work in trying to bring us the best product possible.
