badkolo,
I agree...there are obviously some folks who just don't like it that the GotVapes crew goes out on a limb and orders stuff that is still sometimes in early phases of development. They take the risks of offering something 'new and different' and put it through the ropes with average consumers. Gotvapes also puts a good bit of effort into getting the word out...making videos, buying server space and bandwidth to let people KNOW the products exist, etc...
There are also a few that don't like or understand the concept of 'store branding' for PV stuff, but have no problem with buying 'Craftsmen' or 'Kenmore' or other store brands for other kinds of products. If Sears can pick out a few choice models of things and put their store brand on it...and have a major stake in how that model develops and is marketed, then why not a PV store too? And it is no false claim that Sears plays a major role in making any model it puts the Craftsman or Kenmore brand on...the model becomes their baby! No different with Gotvapes store branding some items like Fluxomizers...it's a perfectly logical business model that is not new, and is tried and tested in many industries, for both marketing and quality control.
Hey, I still remember my first Color TV...it was VERY EXPENSIVE, and broke down all the time...a TV repair guy came around once a month to put in expensive tubes plus hit me with labor charges. My first LCD TV was also very expensive, and pixels burned out after only a few weeks! True, I could have waited....as now you can get a color LCD TV for a song and a dance...that is tough as nails, but I chose to buy into those technologies when they were still new, problematic, and expensive. NO one forced me to do that.
With all that in mind....
If you do get something from Gotvapes that obviously isn't working as it should within a few minutes...pack it up, enclose a written testimony, and send it back! At this point, they can actually study the thing and duplicate your experience. Unless you have something to hide (such as, it really does work, but you just don't 'like it', or you just want something else for free and get to 'keep the bad one')...you WILL be fairly compensated. Trying to do customer service via emails can be difficult...and sometimes people just have a 'bad day'. Once we hit 'send', there's no turning back! The old way...with paper and the product in front of them...lets them think things through and neither customer or clerk gets in a pickle with words.
In contrast, if you rip it apart and try to mod it...that's all fine (I do this...but I don't expect a refund or replacement when I do). At the point we take it apart or mod it somehow, it makes it very difficult for them to replace it or refund your money.
That's pretty standard policy and procedure for any retail shop. To do much more, they either have to jack prices across the board for everyone...or sell 'extended warranties' and such as that. With items that cost under $15 in the first place...how many people would go there? Not many!
My only beef with GotVapes is that they sometimes can't keep it all in stock it sells so fast

And to be fair, that's not all their fault...you can only stock what you can afford to stock...plus the suppliers can't always get as much as you want to you as quickly as we'd all like, and if the product is still being revised along the way...it's probably wiser to stock smaller batches anyway.
I think it's great that GotVapes has committed to things they sell enough to actually put store brands on them! It means...sink or swim...they went all out to try their best to bring us a better vaping experience for a fair price.
