oh yeah... i see... but my black delrin won't fit inside my empire anyway; the d/t tip does but not the body.
i'm back to using the delrin, and just sliding it off easily, and dripping right on the wick.
I know it's a hassle, but you can exhange the pyrex for a tighter fitting one.
stick the mouth piece end of the delrin dt inside the bottom of the shield then push it til it looks like this....
then slide the dt/shield combo down over your atty
I like the new io6 in the 1.5ohms, after one week, this morning I took off the drip tip and the whole atomizer came apart and it ripped the wires off. I have no other atomizer and now I am feeling fidgety.........anyone have any help how to get this thing working again?
It's "a goner" imo. This has been mentioned early. The d/t sticks to the barrel and it pulls the whole thing off. Got to keep the d/t a tad loose, or at least be careful prying it off with a spin motion.

That's OK. Meantime since you like them, I think io6s are getting ready to go back up for sale at ikenvape. Keep your eye peeled and get a couple..dozen.
A hair dry or heat gun is your friend when the drip tip is too tight. Don't force it off. Heat it up and then be gentle and pull it off. It's worked quite well for me a number of times. I too, ruined my 1st IO6 just like you.

The hair dryer technique is most beneficial prior to, than after the fact. In either case nice and slow

I assumed it was going to die and even posted about it in another thread... but it's still kicking as strong as the first day. If I remember correctly, I've been using it since October. Isaac would have to check for me because I've ordered a lot of stuff. But - this is the first 2.5ohm io6 I ordered when his site was down, and it's just great.
